The slashing and jabbing with the sticks on the Isles bench is the most pathetic display of sportsmanship in the world. I have never seen such a blatant disrespect for players and the game. The coach should be fined and the players that did this suspended 5 games minimum, there is no place in the game for that garbage. I want to hear why, from the Isles fans is it ok to do this now? What a joke of a team. Your welcome for us letting you have a little bit of fun this post season hope you enjoyed it.

Yeah, i've never seen this before, and now there has been 2 instances in this series.

Its a total joke, if you would have done that in the 90's someone would have ripped you off the bench and beaten you until you were blind. Rightfully so.

I was a bit surprised last night when Boyes did it and Malkin got a penalty for responding to it. Doesn't seem right. He's on the ice. The issue with Martin and Cooke on the bench was even more unbelievable.

Well with that though, it was an ON ICE issue until Morrow pushed Martin onto the bench, but if you notice no one on OUR bench grabbed him and try stabbing him after he got on the bench. They backed away from it, that's what a real hockey team is supposed to do. This slashing and jabbing from the bench is cowardly.

I agree. It's ridiculous. Bylsma made a point last night apparently to yell at the guys about after the whistle scrums. Simply protect your guys and skate off. Play hockey.

The Pens get out of their game when they get chippy. Look at last years series against the Flyers and games 2, 3, and 4 of this series.

Martin tried to fight a goalie. If that didnt tell you hes total trash, watching him play this series should have. His penalty with Pmartin was classic idiot moves by him. Get hit and then spaz like a lil girl and hug him to show how angry you are lol. He must have the self restraint of geno minus the skill and reason for being inthe nhl.

Ditto

The focus on hockey versus shenanigans has been pretty good from both sides I think. We've had the expected scrums at the end of games that were decided and some bench stuff. Big improvement from last year.

If you're going to suspend for that, Morrow and Cooke deserve suspensions for trapping Matt Martin on the bench.

But seriously, there's no need for suspensions over this crap. The Penguins just need to get away from the extracurriculars. When they buy into it, they're beatable.

I don't care for him but I've been more irritated with Hamonic at times. The way he jobbed Cooke with no punishment and just how he's been coming in late after the whistle is frustrating. Not the worst stuff but he's been a bit pesky.

Despres trolling made up for it though.

Of their best defensive defensemen wants to waste his energy in scrums with Cooke and like, I'm all for it.

With whatever happens the rest of the way in this series, can we please put to be the "Byslma doesn't adjust" critique?

He's changed the breakout, the defensive neutral zone play, the lines and the goaltender during this series.

If the Penguins stay away from that garbage and play their game (just like last night), this series would have been over in 5. It's like they feel like they have to prove they're "tough guys" and get away from being the team they built: a highly skilled team/

Can't argue with that. It's a pretty good trade off. No offense to Cookie.

I don't think Cooke would take offense to that. That's him doing his job.

I have blasted Bylsma many many times for not adjusting, after last night it is no longer a valid criticism.

Interesting... He looked much better in the 2nd-3rd, maybe because he could see the puck?

Last night first intermission new helmet for Sid His chin guard was blocking his view. Made a diff guard and helmet

I can't give Bylsma tons of credit for making adjustments in game 5 that should have been done after game 2. Yes he fixed some structural issues and finally made some smart personnel decisions, but most of us armchair coaches suggested those exact changes two games ago.

It's hard for me to pat somebody on the back for doing a good job when they complete their work late.

If Nabokov put as much effort into stopping pucks as he does diving all over the place, the Isles would be better off. That guy acts like he's dead at least twice a game.
