Any chance we see Poulin starting game 6? He is the second best goalie in this series behind Vokoun. |

4 and 5 nothing wins. If we play half as good as we can this team doesnt belong in the same rink as the pens. Just like all year, they need to find a way to get up for bad teams and tonight they finally did. Game six here we come......Kooooooner! |

I wouldn't be surprise. Nabby has been pitiful. I feel he's actually been worse that MAF, just hasn't put any in his own net. |

Its hard to say that considering he basically played in garbage time after the outcome was no longer in doubt. Throwing a guy into an elimination game for his first playoff start is a lot to ask, then again, hard to believe he could do worse than Nabby. |

Bylsma deserves a lot of credit for tonight. Not only for the roster moves, but line adjustments during the games. TK looked good on the 3rd line and Morrow and Vitale on the 4th was good.
Pens played smart, and they played physical without crossing the line.
Oh, and that guy in goal looked pretty damn good. |

If pens make it to round 2, the sens are going to be tough. We've seen how this story ends, they've got a red hot goalie. Balanced scoring as well, I want to believe but I don't think the pens would make it |

I know you said *if*, but don't get ahead of things. Still have to finish our present business. |

Montreal getting embarassed by Ottawa right now: 6-1
The Senators are playing really well.. - Orpik44
Not to take anything away from the Sens, but do you think the Habs were overrated?

I didn't think so. The early matchups were pretty well contested. They got off their game for sure. Ottawa maybe surprised them a bit but I thought they looked great at times. Have to credit Ottawa for jumping on them and working hard. They neutralized their speed a bit. |

Bravo to Bylsma today. Did everything we wanted. Despres played great too, made a couple good plays, particularly on the Crosby goal. And Kennedy and Vitale did exactly what they were brought in to do. Go Pens! |

I'd say yes...injuries didn'thelp them as well. The Senators on the other hand look legit. |

If we close out the Islanders, hopefully the Senators will be so focused on Matt Cooke, that they play like they did in our last regular-season meeting.
In all seriousness, different type of match-up. They have two very solid goalies and a better defense. They aren't as physical as the Islanders. They are just showing it against the canadians since they aren't. They don't have that line that could really give you fits like JT, Moulson and Boyes.

They didn't finish strong, and losing Emelin late in the season, then the injuries in the series didn't help. From what I read they controlled a lot of the play in the first 2 pds tonight but couldn't beat Anderson plus they had Fleury in net. |

So I think we will be seeing more 12 with 87 and 14 with 71...

Yes, even if they were healthy, they really did nothing for me. Maybe the weakest two seed in recent history.

I can really see them going after Cooke.. I really can.
But we still need to close out the Islanders!

Saturday will be a test. The isles will be coming with everything they have. Pens NEED to show some consistency to their game and win that one. |
