Lets hope so, but because MG has never hired a coach before, I am a bit scared.....
- chompsey

Yup, first thing's first though, he better have the balls to fire AV and the entire coaching staff. The new staff he hires and how well they perform with this roster will make or break MG's career here, jsut getting ahead of myself here it could get stick if the new coaching staff doesn't get this team going next year and then MG gets canned after next year. Then you bring in a new GM with a coaching staff that was just hired a year ago so I wonder what happens.

Dude, you always have interesting things to say, but I love how you pick and choose the rumors you choose to cling on to......

Cody can do no wrong.....Gillis and AV can do no right......

Love the objectivity.......

- chompsey

Just going off what I observe.

1. Gillis called Hodgson out publicly saying he was difficult.
2. Roberts called Gillis names and called what he said ridiculous.

That's all I said, isn't it?

The GM & Coach you continually come to the rescue of have won 1 playoff game in 2 years with the most resources at their fingertips of any management group in the league, while the player you find villatinous blossomed once he escaped their oppressive regime & got the opportunity he was bold enough to ask for while he was here.

I think that's proof enough that my opinion was valid (not saying right or wrong) all along.

Man I'm skinny as hell too. Get a physical done every couple yrs, I'm just over 5% body fat. I'm on the BBQ(or mine has a name, its Lucille) 3 or 4 times a week. Steak, Pork Chops(although I like them better in the oven with mushroom soup) burgers, ribs, sausage, roast,
When I 1st bought my house and was single I had pretty much an entire cow cut into steak. All roasts, neck the whole lot cut into steaks. BbQ steak everyday and sometimes twice. Ah the memories

- Bieksa#3

That's the name I game my old RX-7, may she RIP (until I get the new motor in her).

Yeah, I'm usually the same with the BBQ, but we can't figure out what's wrong—checked/cleared the propane regulator, cleaned out the outlets, got a new propane tank, but the entire grill still won't light, and only sputters a bit before dying.

Thing's less than two years old, and used to work like a hot damn...

You're pork chops sound similar to my step dad's method. Man that guy can cook—always put on a couple pounds after staying with them.

Step dad considers it an insult if you turn down food, even if you've just eaten

I believe there is an episode where Sheldon tries to understand sarcasm. He "didn't get it" either

I miss those days!!! I am 6'1" and weighed 150 pounds until I hit 35, 3 years later I am weighing in at 200. Still look skinny but the mini pot belly aint too sexy......GF has me eating salads all of the time now
- chompsey

No offence, but I hope that isn't me in a few years. I'm not too happy with where I'm at right now, definitely need to put on some muscle since I never really gave a poop about working out, just played soccer and hockey until I was 17 so I didn't really need to be a big guy. I'm at the bad stage now where I'd like to have my body fat a little lower, but at the same time I need to put on like 5 pounds of muscle.

Sounds like me. Except I'm 6'1" and vary between 150-160, at 29.

Only time I've been able to get over 160 was when I was going to the gym regularly and training for soccer. Ain't nobody got time for that anymore...

If you remember correctly, I was never a fan of hiring MG. Booner and I got into it good over the firing of Nonis. I liked Nonis and his patient approach which subsequently set MG up for success.

I am not so much coming to the coach and GM's rescue as I am trying to temper all of the bi-polar fans we have. They make us look ridiculous like Leaf fans.

My point is always that we barely know a sliver of what is going on behind the scenes so maybe we should try to reserve criticism until the time is appropriate..........perhaps like now. I'm on board with giving AV the boot. I am just not on board with assuming what kind of coach he is behind closed doors when we haven't a clue.

We just always get he said, she said bullpoop that gets twisted into fact......

AV is a good coach..........however, his message is stale here.....

Basically exactly like me. Except I had a chubby phase once I quit soccer and hockey when I was 18. I'm basically trying to lose some fat and gain muscle at the same time which is apparently pretty close to impossible.

I actually just googled "sheldon" and he came up all over it. I don't watch much TV outside of my hockey and I don't think I'd spend it watching that show...haha

We've been given more than a few hints as to what he's like behind the scenes... From his own mouth.

"I don't talk to the players during the game, they're big boys." - AV

" I don't talk to the players before the game, they know what to do." - AV

"I didn't know what I was supposed to do out there." - SOB, Keith Ballard, David Booth, Zack Kassian (different variations of the same message to reporters when they're asked about struggles)

That's what I've been told. But then I look at some fatass and all of a sudden I wanna stop trying to bulk up too much. Plus I didn't enjoy my chubby phase at all. I'd be happy being around 165-170 with more muscle since my genetics will probably never let me become that big.

I got a bit of a belly on me now, but the rest is skinny. Not a good look for me.

I have to get back into soccer again. Only play once or twice a year when my Comox Valley team comes down for the labour day tournament—which we always win

Got a tourney on Salt Spring for May long weekend. Gonna be rough, since I haven't even kicked a ball since the last labour day tournament.
