Yup. It was a messed up year for everyone. For (frank) sake, the team that SWEPT us were SELLERS toward the end of the year (Murray/Clowe - both pending UFAs who they got a return for - smart asset management IMO).

(frank) I wish Booth was as good at hockey as he is with his vocabulary.

Sorry, don't know how to embed the video.

Absolutely. No team can talk about how they had to deal with adversity unless they are from Ottawa.

Maybe yo gabba gabba (DJ David)—that show's (frank)ed up. My niece is addicted to it like crack.

That's a great show. Biz's beat of the day, The Shins doing songs, lessons about how we don't bite our friends. That's just quality entertainment. Caillou and Max & Ruby make me want to take my eyes out with a grapefruit spoon, but Yo Gabba Gabba is a good time.

Yeah, I won't lie, I found some of it entertaining—likely would have enjoyed it more if I'd been back in BC enjoying some local produce...

Really wish they would have done a lesson about how we don't bite our uncles, as well as friends, though

Seriously, though, my niece goes apepoop if nobody puts on yo gabba gabba exactly when she wants.

There's gotta be some kind of subliminal message going on...

No, this was pre-chocolate incident.

My chocolate problems really hit their peak this year—perhaps I used it as a crutch to deal with my disenchantment with the Canucks this season.

They drove me to it—I just hope it doesn't turn into a gateway snack...if this continues and AV doesn't get fired, my wife will find me all sticky and covered in marshmallow and caramel by the start of training camp. Don't even want to think of the cavities...

Maybe I should just drink more, instead?

So as most of you know Gary Roberts is player development consultant for Dallas as well he also has the GR development center for training pro athletes. I don't think he needs the money nor would he have the time with all his other activities to be a coach. But I would REALLY like to interview this guy and see what it would take to get him on board in some shape or form. The reason being is this guy knows how to develop young players as well as veterans. He could very well be the guy to that can take this team to the next level. If I am MG I would already be talking to this guy like fa@king now. Him and a guy like Eakins together KAPOOYA. I know most coaches want to bring on there own staff but MG can think outside the box bring in guys suited for specific roles and make them work together. Throw a Stevens or Igor whoever. Gillis is the boss players don't get to decide who they work with why should coaches.

That being said if Gillis loses his job(which I doubt). I don't know who GM should be. I will have to think about that one for a bit.

The first practice as coach just to fa@k with them BAG SKATe LOL.

If Gillis is still the GM, Roberts turns down the interview. Roberts came to Cody Hodgson's defense & called Gillis some names when he was spreading rumors about Cody being difficult.

I think Gillis should keep his job, but surround himself with more knowledgeable hockey people. We need better pro scouting & a strategic vision that's ahead of the game instead of trying to replicate what worked for the Red Wings more than a decade ago.

I know what you're talking about, it's been pulled pork for me. I used to be semi-vegetarian, only ate fish, but since the start of the season I've smoked a half dozen pork butts, each one produces 30-35 pulled pork sandwiches. God damn Canucks.

So apparently some guy with "sources" at HF says that MG's top choice(if available) would be.....wait for it.......

Dude, you always have interesting things to say, but I love how you pick and choose the rumors you choose to cling on to......

Cody can do no wrong.....Gillis and AV can do no right......

Love the objectivity.......

I've been saying all yr that I don't want a recycled coach. Save Bylsma and Babcock. Lots of great young candidates.
Ottawa assistant(former Attack coach who's name always eludes me)
Dallas Eakins
Mike Foligno
Davis Payne(as u mentioned earlier(had a NHL gig, but I'm alright with giving him another shot)

Clearly fabricated......how can MG have a top choice when he hasn't even dealth with AV and may not at all......

We all know that MG takes his time to do anything so I wouldn't put much stock in that rumor du jour....

That's how I was raised, but as soon as I was old enough to choose for myself, I started eating meat.

Wish I had enough room for a smoker

Used to work for an oyster farm up island, and I can still get some of the best oysters in the world for free. Also have lots of buddies who catch more salmon than they can eat, so I could definitely put a smoker to good use.

I've actually been on a jerky binge of late. Damn that poop is good, but expensive.

Wondering if I should start making my own to cut down costs...?

Honestly, this is a great choice. A guy who will grab Kassian, Kesler, burrows etc by the balls. And usually gets along with his stars early on in his tenure
