Hartnell Simmonds and Giroux untouchable imo. - thundachunk
Hartnell IMO would be available because of his age, but hes too old to trade Edler for. |

I'd really like to see Lappy back as 4LC, but I think Gillis will let him walk because of his rep with the refs. Archibald will definitely be re-signed, I could maybe see Alberts back, ditto with Rodin. - Nucker101
It's a lot to do in the off season. Add to it the Luongo trade, dealing with Ballard/Booth, getting the AHL team settled and stocked. Do they still have an agreement with the ECHL team I wonder? |

I would trade Edler for Simmonds or Giroux but it won't happen. |

Agreed, I'd give him another year before that. - Nucker101
I'd even rather see him get a full year in the AHL after that, unless he definitively earns a spot in the 2014 training camp. |

You think Phi would do Edler, Schroeder, Cannata for Couturier and a pick?
Seems like a bit of an overpayment to me, but that's (an overpayment) what it would take to get him. |

They might, I wouldn't. |

Depends on what pick but I think it maybe to much to give up. |

It's a steep price. But Phi would only trade him for an overpayment.
You think Schenn would cost less? |

Its sad how this year we could had a chance at the cup if we just had a guy that can actually coach
Waste of a season and players are aging |

First of all, Sens
Second of all, didn't Couturier have a pretty dreadful season? I get that he's 20 or 21, but 4 goals? That would be a horrible deal. |

He might be ready after next year IMO because of his size and all-around ability. |

Anyone think we can get a first for a resigned roy (Pick for this year) |

I honestly think they're both untouchable because Philly really has to keep all contributing affordable pieces in town.
If anything, they have to shed salary in deals, not take it on. |

Call me nuts, but I'd do it as long as it's like a 2nd rounder this year, that would be a decent prospect to hopefully replace the loss of Schroeder in the system in terms of value. I'd be weary of dealing Cannata since his value could go even higher with a full season starting in the AHL. |

Snider has always been a win-now type of owner though. |

Edler and Schroader for Coutourier and Read/Bourdon and pick
Philly is in need of a d man like Edler and can somewhat replace Coutourier with Barkov/Monahan etc.

Meh, I'm not too concerned about his stats this season.
Like I said, it's a lot to give up, but it would take a complete overpayment, and Philly would want a C coming back, since they're giving up one, and Briere might not return. Cannata is just to make it enticing—Canucks have been great finding goalies, so they could likely replace him in the coming years.
The pick would coming back would have to be a 1st or 2nd rounder. |

I'd do that for sure. I don't expect Barkov/Monahan to make it to them at #11, maybe Monahan but I'd be a little surprised. |

Lets throw in Kesler for Giroux as well. - Nucker101
I dont think schenn and couturier have been great
Schenn is getting older too
They are getting an a elite d-man and a 70 point guy
Simmonds is really the only guy who is a true good player |

Briere would likely be gone. Edler is the only real salary going back, and it's in a position they desperately need.
They're not getting a big, offensive top4 D without adding salary.

This sounds like somebody who thinks the Thunder could beat Memphis. In other words a dreamer |
