did Holtby touch the puck with his goalie stick as he came across the net? Looks like he got a piece of it |

I've looked at it a few times and I don't think he touches it. |

Gotta love Torts, when asked to react about what McDonagh said about Staal and whether he agreed that Staal's decision showed "guts" and was "humble and honest," he replied that "Mac should just shut up." |

Great all around player. He doesn't have elite skills in any one particular area, but he is very good at everything. Reminds me a lot of Derek Stepan. He started off the OHL playoffs like a house on fire, but tailed off a little in the series against London where the Whalers were eliminated. The Panthers have a gem in that kid. - Pete V
I looked him up, looks like a real good prospect. If the Rangers werent pretty deep down the middle at the moment with Step still young, Miller, Lindberg, Brassard is only 26 plus Richards at least for 1 more year. I would say maybe we could try and make a deal but I doubt Florida moves him and I imagine he'd cost quite a bit if they did. |

I guess no more compliments or Staal updates from McDonagh anymore |

I saw that, hey, Torts gets praised and villified for saying whats on his mind. So does the coach get praise when they win? Can we call for Dolan to extend him for life after every win (sarcastic) |

That's not something I like. Torts trying to stifle an honest Mcdonagh. |

I agree with Torts, the phrase "humble and honest" seems like something you would hear in an Oprah Reading Club, rather than to describe a hockey player. For that alone, he should shut up. |

well the media is just blowing everything up.
mcdonagh said 1 little thing about the way ovechkin was standing and there were 100s of articles written about mcdonagh talking poop to ovechkin which just motivates the caps.
lindberg and fast will be in camp next year, right? |

I didn't mean to as in Torts is hated by his players. It's one thing if Mcdonagh talk about the Caps in a negative or cocky kind of context. But these athletes are humans and in this situation I love Mcdonagh's honesty. I'm not saying Torts should allow the to pull a Kellen Winslow or Rob Grankowski, but there has to a tiny bit of give and take. |

The organization has good stable of forward prospects. No clearly elite ones, but alot of interesting prospects. It's going to be interesting to see how the handle of these players, and whether they move some of them for either draft picks or established players. |

Wasn't against Boston where Keenan left Kovalev out for about 6 minutes to try to punish him for staying on the ice too long, and Kovalev thought he was being rewarded? I thought it was Boston, but I could be wrong. I am sure, Brian, knows, because Brian knows everything. You can ask him a random question about Game 47 of the Cup year and he would know the answer. |

While the passing on the play is top level. The overall lack of hustle by Ovi is ridiculous. I'd be pissed if I were a caps fan. He coasted in just like that from the blueline. - climbdenali12
He was afraid he might get called for charging again. |

I'll admit, it looked bad. I just wonder if he is told to stay high in the defensive zone. I saw Malkin try to recover late the other night and he plowed over Fleury, leaving an empty net for Tavares. |
