Rags in 6.

Caps gave up last night. There's no reason to continue on. I don't want to see them give up in more games...

We're cursed. no Cup for at least 10 more years, or however long Ovi has on that retarded contract.

Until the Rangers prove that they can win in DC, the Caps are still probably the favorite in the series. I had Rangers in 7 to start the series. I still think the series is going 7, and I think it is pretty much a coinflip of a series, in that whoever gets the better goaltending and opportune scoring is likely to win.

I'd like to think so, but I think the Rags have us figured out now. Zone time doesn't mean anything without quality scoring chances, and with how easily the Caps lose coverage, I predict the Rags picking us apart the next two...
No creativity in the offensive zone, reminds me of the MTL series...

Hopefully I'm wrong.

While the passing on the play is top level. The overall lack of hustle by Ovi is ridiculous. I'd be pissed if I were a caps fan. He coasted in just like that from the blueline.

That's what i was going to say. He gave up on the play, long before the final pass was made!

The fact that he sees the play happening in front of him and does nothing, speaks volumes that he is still a 1 way player. Great talent in the offenzive zone, but nothing more.

Noticed it last night. The replay from behind the goal is even more telling.

Due to my schedule I couldn't catch a sec of last night, caught up a bit on the replay. Obviously another nail biter. Now we have to keep up the momentum & win in DC, hopefully finish this in 6!

I didn't really focus in on that until I saw this, I was looking more in the area where the passing play happened. I don't know what Ovechkin was thinking about not at least trying a little bit to get over there.

Wow, talk about lazy. Guy takes two strides from red line to goal line, awful.

He would have easily broken that up or at least it would have played out differently. What is really surprising is he didn't try to put Stepan through the backboards. With Ovi it seems like its all or nothing.

I forget who it was exactly, maybe Pete, talking about Vince Trochek from the Panthers system a few weeks ago. He won outstanding player of the year in the OHL.

Yes me too. Looking forward to it. I'm hoping Isles get to Vokoun early because if he lets in a few, where do you turn? Fleury has been dreadful and now his confidence is shot from being pulled. I hope the Isles bury them, tired of all the talk about the Penguins from the "experts".

50 goals, 59 assists in 63 regular season games. He added 10 goals and 14 assists in 15 playoff games.

Great all around player. He doesn't have elite skills in any one particular area, but he is very good at everything. Reminds me a lot of Derek Stepan. He started off the OHL playoffs like a house on fire, but tailed off a little in the series against London where the Whalers were eliminated. The Panthers have a gem in that kid.
