Some would argue Okposo is just finally playing UP to his potential. He's been more Iginla than Iginla this series

As for Streit, I don't think he's been all that good this series, or season for that matter.
You guys definitely looked better in the neutral zone last night but you're still having a LOT of trouble contending with our speed in transition. That's a problem that may haunt them the whole series.

- keaner17

I'm not arguing nothing... However I will say I've seen Tyler Kennedy look like he was going to be something only to go back to being TK.

I think Strait looks real good. Especially for a waiver wire rookie in his 1st playoffs. You're tough

Settle down now... Their is a reason they got the 8 seed. They are playing great and my Pens not so much. I think it's a combination of the two. I think you're getting ahead of yourself here.
- lloyd095

What did they finish a point out of 6th? maybe a couple out of 5th? I agree they are not there yet but its not like they finished 15 points behind the teams in the 7,6,5 spots either

Not to blow smoke up our own a$$ses but these guys turned a corner a couple months ago. It's not like this team lacks talent contrary to popular belief. Not that we have the talent of you guys but talent does'nt always win, especially in the playoffs. We certainly are a better team then a few of the teams that finished ahead of us, I can say that without feeling I'm being homerish. You may disagree which I can also understand too

I don't blame you guys for being surprised by the Isles play. The entire NHL and media underestimated the Isles all year. This team is better than an 8th place team and with a goalie, we could be top three in the league.
- mighty13duck

And I can't say I don't blame them. It's taken Bailey and Okposo finally learning the importance of in game intensity to allow this team to find a new level. We came into the season with enough talent to make some noise but lacked discipline and a sense of direction. The final month of the season gave this team a focus and understanding on what they could do if everyone did their job and brough their 'battle level' up. We're not as talented as the Pens, no question, but we're also not as far away as many think as players like Grabner, Okposo, Bailey, Hamonic, and Cizikas are all capable of being top six forwards (and top pairing dman) on many teams in this league.
Those players realizing their potential makes the Isles a much better team than anticipated when judging them based on their predeveloped period.

How did you feel about the AMAC injury?? The Islanders seem to respond with a lot better play after he went down
- kasperrko

I'm not a huge fan of the guy but he logs 25 minutes a game and Hamonic who has been an absolute beast is the other part of the pairing, not happy about it. Don't want to change anything

It may be tough for him to show his face around here after insisting we wouldn't even be within two goals of any game this series. He was so adament that we had no chance to win a game in this series....

Dude, I'm not saying he did. And I'm not absolving either him or Cooke. My only point was that, if Martin doesn't intentionally try to block Cooke's path to the bench, it doesn't happen. That's all. All 3 were at fault in my view. If you disagree, whatever, that's what this board is for.

Look I'm not going to sit here and tell you why I cant see the Islanders go far looking at their roster while my team is struggling with them but saying they're a top 3 team seems a bit premature.

They did have the 6 spot with a couple games left I believe. (Maybe they wanted the Pens)

It is going to be a tough loss. He logs the most ice time of all of our defensemen and has been attached to Hamonic since birth. Somebody will have to step up and take those minutes and I hope it is not Streit. I think Martinek should get the nod to step in, i think he will play well. But knowing Capuano it will probably be Boulton
