The problem also is that Donellon writes from a distance. Not a very good columnist.

Sam is a trip. He'll be at the odd Flyers press conference here and there and he loves to gleefully toss out a question that it's either a potential grenade (not a real-life example, but it would be very much a Sam question to ask something along the lines of "Paul, at what point WOULD you start think about a coaching change?) or ask something seemingly off-the-wall (a playoff example from 2010 Finals: "Peter, both Danny and Kimmo mentioned that the building was very hot today. Do you think that caused fatigue and, if so, are there things you can do as a coach to adjust?").

Nice guy, and he writes unique columns.

I'm still not sure what the philosophy is. I'm not sure if this is a dump-pound-crash the crease team, or a skating team, or a defense-oriented counter-attacking team (okay, i know they're NOT that right now). I just want them to pick a way they're going to play, and stick with it. Otherwise, you get a mashup of players that end up playing outside of their strengths.

If Laviolette is the Coach. You know what kind of team they are. Or at least what kind they're trying to be.

By the way, I listened to WIP for about 2 minutes this morning (I apologize) and apparently Conklin has a brilliant new edgy Bryz song. It's about a guy who speaks with an Eastern-European accent and says odd things. Didn't think he'd ever be able to write something so original. I turned on right as it started, and went away when it was met with a raucous applause by Mr. Morganti and Mr. Jones. Not sure why, but I expected more out of them.

Pressure the puck constantly and scream, "OH poop!" during the 15-or-so oddman rushes against per game?

Mistake #1 - tuning in to WIP.
Mistake #2 - expecting more out of them

they traded Pitkanen and Seidenberg, so expect Gus to be traded for a 2nd pick or an over 30 Dman

Bill, Thanks for keeping us in the loop of what is hapening in the Worlds. I have to admit I would never know if you didn't do some diligent research for us.
Been a touch busy around here folks so trying to catch up when I can. I miss yelling at my TV or giving a crap about who wins in the play-offs.
Any suspensions handed down after the Sens/Habs fiasco the other night?
I keep trying to catch the Blues / Kings games but have been passing out before they get really going... Damn job.
EDIT: GO GUS!

when he first started exhibiting some of his eccentricities, Conklin made him out to be like Borat, which i never thought was funny anyway. the whole weak running joke reached a nadir when barkann, in the lowest moment of his career, tried to get bryz to say "high five" like Borat in a radio interview- pathetic.

watching barkann grasping to make something out of his awful sports talk TV show should provide some solace for bryz, however.

Sam writes w/o an agenda and is a really a nice guy which would make him the exact opposite of a guy like markus hayes.

for all of the abuse that carchidi gets here(much of it deserved), he's also a genuinely good guy as well.
