man did you not watch or at least follow the sabres under rolston? project his record out over 48 and we are in the playoffs right now. as this roster stands right now i dont see it much differently next year

ID take FLorida's roster going forward any day. New Jersey is getting clsoe to the list if like Clarkson leaves marty retires. They could become a one line team soon with no goalie

So theres 2 options. Get lucky and Myers, Pysyk, Armia, Grigorenko are all amazing

Or option 2, trade miller and vanek and bottom out.

Team seems to be leaning towards option 2, which is the correct call.

im not happy with it, i stated that in an earlier post. i thought this was the year to bottom out, it didnt happen. as the roster stands its not a bottom 5 team. closer to the playoffs than top 5 pick...

this could all change this offseason

i havent accepted mediocrity, its why i generally dont care about the bills haha. IF they are really planning to rebuild we will find out this offseason

by no means do i think this is a contending team. but untill i see darcy make real effort to tank a season or two i wont believe we are going through a true rebuild.

in hindsight it probably would have been better to keep ruff all year. may be picking top 5

I'm indifferent to the Rolston signing. It's hard to like or hate him. He could be a decent hire. As many have said, he seems to be a good teacher of the game to younger players and that's where we are headed. Darcy remains the biggest problem with this franchise IMO.

I would like them to trade Miller for a 1st and an NHL ready prospect and sign Tommy to an extension and make him our long term captain (if he wants to stay that this)

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it, I however think that it is incorrect.

IMO...... we dont have the scoring or the special teams units to contend. I would rather lose and lose then hang around the 10-18th pick.

Weve had 3 top 10 picks since 87, we have really never been terrible in a long time.
