I don't think he's just topless.

I keep thinking of the Messier towel photo. http://thepuckdoctors.com...oads/2009/messcoleman.jpg

I think we are going to see a lot of players this offseason wanting to go to the Isles...

MM: Just how did you guys hypnotize the Caps into going a full 2 minutes on the PP with the game on the line WITHOUT TAKING A SINGLE SHOT!

I've never seen anything like it. If I was a Caps fan I'd be dead from a stroke for sure.

- Emperor Filonius

Gotta say, for as well and as quick as the Caps can throw the puck around, the Rangers don't get out of position chasing the passes.

Heart attacks all around in that ending sequence last night. Caps were looking for the perfect shot and the Rangers did a good job filling the shooting lanes. It was a wild end because Washington's power play, even though they did not get a single shot, is so dangerous.

Agreed, although they were so obviously trying to set up OV for the one timer that the Rangers just collapsed on him. Ribeiro needed to fire one there with all the room they gave him.

That's known as the "Carey Price effect." Do away with the high-glove shots and he'll be fine.

I'm the same way. Except for the bolded part. he wasn't whiney or self entitled. he was just great. Now insert whiny Mario in there then we are in total agreement.

Most of these guys are OK. A few of them are douches just like any fanbase. He's actually one of the more bearable ones. The guy with the shirtless Crosby as his avatar not with standing of course. I was on their thread chatting with some of them. I said I would never want Crosby on a team of mine and they are all completely shocked and calling me a moron. I can care less I would never want Crosby on my team, never liked him. Never liked players like him. You can all call me crazy here too now when i tell you i Gretzky hated and always did. I hate self entitiled whiny players that dive. I can care less how good they are. Not what I like in a hockey player

That's one thing the Rangers do better than any other team in the league. For all the credit Henrik gets, and he deserves plenty, that team makes their defensive zone seem so small. They force everyone to become perimeter teams.

Agreed, the Emperor and our resident ref are damn fine guys and welcome to post here anytime. I could easily consider them part of our community here. Then there's guys like Sidney's obsessed fan.....I'm betting that picture is hanging on his wall

But if I'm building the greatest all time team ever, Mario is easily my first overall pick. I think Mario had a right to be a bit whiney. The guy practically ended up in traction from players hangning off his back all the time. Couldn't even tie his own skates while still averaging 2 points a game. Gretzky would be in a wheel chair today if he took the physical abuse Mario did.

Hey as you have seen I have been pretty quiet through out this series. I know have my family ripping on me and my son who is 11 and was at the game Sunday and was like how can you even think about liking the Penguins over the Isles? I told him I am an Islander but he don't believe me

Team defense is perennially ranked in the top five and while most of the deserved credit goes to Hank, the structure is a solid one.

Now offensively, that is a whole other topic.

While I have tons of Islanders memorabilla, there is one corner dedicated to Mario Lemieux and Barry Sanders...two guys that were simply the best...better than all the rest ( do I hear keyboards?)
