Global warming....or it could be that we have no presence in front of the net. All perimeter play |

Getting too cute looking for the perfect play instead of just getting shots at the net and bodies in front of the net. When things aren't going well on the PP, its best to simplify it. The Isles aren't doing it. Also, the Pens PK has been solid.
I have to say, I haven't been impressed with Mark Streit at all this series. He looks out of position and hasn't done d**k offensively. He's playing himself right out of an extension. |

Can't have Boyes on Streit on the pp...both are turnover machines and offer nothing. I've had it with Streit...
NO EXTENSION FOR YOU!
- keaner17
When I see Streit make really nice outlet passes that get the rush going in a big way, I can see why he's valuable. When I see him coasting back seconds behind the play on the replays of half the goals against...or see the few non-elite forwards Pitt actually has walk around him without so much as a shove, I never want to see him out there again. |

I haven't been impressed with Streit for the last two years. He doesn't even try to engage players physically, he only challeges the puck, loses his man and has looked painfully slow this series. On offense, he's too patient, terrible at keeping the puck in the zone and refuses to shoot. If it weren't for AMac and Strait's mistakes this series, there'd be a lot more talk about just how bad he's been. |

I've been down on him in a lot of facets to his game but I've found it startling how many times he's been blown past on dump in's. His age is really showing. |

I was pleasantly surprised too, they were rocking. Easily the loudest I've ever heard the Isle's crowd and it was a loss. - GirouxForTheShow

How can this be what you guys are talking about today??? You do realize this is weird right? - nbartley9
This is pretty much par for the course in these threads...
How about we kill off some penalties tonight, fellas? Now that he got the monkey has gotten off his back, Johnny T nets 2 tonight, 4-2, good guys.
Will be at work...Let's Go Islanders!
For the uninitiated...the Barn always sounds like that for playoff games, we just, unfortunately, haven't had any lately. |

Unless he significantly picks up his game, Streit is a goner. |

Interestingly enough when we started to play good our special teams took a crap? Have no idea where the connection is or why but that's when it started. |

We had a couple good years with him. He served his purpose. Snow hopefully knows when to say when. |

I don't care who brought it up its very odd, when you have the biggest game of the past ten years tonight. But hey to each his own. |

We were pretty desperate for a player like that at the time and over his first couple of seasons with us he was fantastic. His play has been terrible over the last two seasons (IMO). I don't regret the signing at all, but I seen no need to resign him. |

It's a legitimate debate, though I think Snow's decision to stand pat was vindicated with this teams April performance. |

No, I'm referring to Game 4. Just wanted to get started early. |

That's why I miss the Spectrum. Those old, steep building could really boom. These new places don't have the same effect. |

Just bustin' on you. He deserved to get that contract. He worked hard for it and it was his time. Now, he is still a useful player for some team, but he's far from someone you want to lead your D. |

Well, to look at it that way then why the hell are you on here talking to us about us discussing the ugliest player which was brought up by a Pen fan. Should'nt you be discussing team strategy tonight? Give me a break |

He's not even a top 4 dman IMO. He's a liability and his offensive skills have diminished. A bigger problem is, he's making a lot more mental errors now too. |

Perhaps he should abandon the Groucho persona and take on the Harpo character |

Not much to say for tonight's game...do everything they did last game exactly the same with the exception of Nabby and the PK units, and they should tie this series up. I know Nabby got them here, but I don't feel very confident with him in net right now. Too many second, third and fourth chances, although some of that's on the D to clear the front of the net. |
