Our PP is absolutely killing us. You know the Pens will start getting some calls and they are gonna bury a PP goal. I don't want to say that we must score on this PP to start the 2nd, but well.........
- NewYawkIslandez

Yup. Gotta take advantage when all the calls go your way, because the pendulum will swing, and you know the Pens will capitalize.

Nabokov's save percentage on gloveside shots is nearing thr mendoza line
- keaner17

Nearing? I think it might be below...can you have a minus saves percentage...his positioning was awful on the Neill goal...

Yup. Outplaying them once again in all aspects except special teams. They gotta get it together, because as you said, the calls are eventually gonna go the pens way. Hamonics play on Crosby was awesome. That's the way he should be played every time he's on the puck.

Classy fans, cheering when a player gets hurt. Go Isles!
- trolleytracks

I actually sort of agree, but coming from HockeyBuzz's version of Sean Avery, this post is pretty rich.

This isn't the same angle as Sunday right? I don't remember it being that high. Seems like someone is hanging mission impossible style off the catwalk with a camera.

I could see a tie all the way to third with a pp going to the pens. Game over

Sadly it's been like this all year
- keaner17

They're changing arenas next year correct? Sucks when refs decide a game...just as bad when the ice does. I can't tell if the isles opportunities are coming from passing or pens stumbling. I know it cost the isles at least 3 good scoring chances.

Forget scoring chances, it cost Poulin a year of development!

This is our 3rd PP versus the Pens 0. Cant be complaining right now man. Isles MUST capitalize. Our special teams are absolutely killing us. Once again, we are dominating 5 on 5.

Why don't they just hang the guy under the scoreboard so it looks like we're playing NHL 13?

Agreed. We're getting chances but not cashing in. It would be nice to get one 5 on 3 though. Pens are going to settle in. They've already weathered the early storm

I've been posting on here and not the pens blog because its more interesting to see the opposing fans opinions. That said, the more I see the isles the more impressed I am...Not giving up pens for anything, but still impressed. This has been my favorite playoff series to watch in while. Kinda going down as the "overachieving" upstart Isles vs the "Predatory" powerhouse Pens. With the young talent on both teams, this could be a yearly battle...Awesome!

Why? Its not buffalo. And unfortunately I don't think the ice will be better at Barclays. They'll have better refrigeration but that's a much busier arena. All the changeovers will take its toll. That's why Edmonton has the best ice. No non-hockey teams. No major music acts want to go there and it's like 45 degrees year round.

I think it'll be at least a little better. Right now "refrigeration" consists of the ice girls waving paper fans.
