How many times can I hear this? Ok our pp hasn't been great but our 5 on 5 play is crushing you guys, and in my opinion 5 on 5 should be what dictates a team more than playing one or two men up...

Penguins have 7 goals 5 on 5, Islanders have 6.

It's still part of the series. You can't take game one out of your arguement because your team played like crap.

Kings fan here. I have watched all series fairly closely. The best team is St. Louis and it isnt even close.

I most respectfully disagree with the Ducks being the best team right now and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Kings fan. Realistically looking at things they should be where they are right now against the Redwings. They were the top seed team in that series.

As much as I don't like this team either but I have to give credit where credit is deserved, I honestly have to say the best team right now is by far the Sharks. They were the low seed team that just went into the upper seed team's barn and won both games (what a slap in the face) and then came home and got the job done and now lead that series 3-0. Best result in this Conference Quarterfinal if you ask me.

I agree with you that it's not the ducks. The west can be won by any team. However the sharks aren't as good as they seem. They're playing the same Canucks that lost to our ahl team and got smoked by the oilers. Need I say more? Oh ya, same division as the flames, oilers and avalanche

if it's 2004, that's not a called penalty

if it's 2006, it's a penalty 19 times out of 20

if it's 2010 it's a penalty 5 out of ten times

if it's 2013 it's a penalty 1 out of 20 times, and it was called because crosby's name was on the back of the jersey
you guys got screwed yesterday and the ref's will never be consistent

take them down, please

The pens got the call because of the name on the back of the jersey. its that simple. The spear and the slashing calls were missed, and JT was getting MUGGED this entire series. I'm not blaming everything on the refs, but its def one sided. I was very disappointed with that call. I still beLIeve. Take this series from this team.

I want to say the St. Louis Blues, The Sens are 2nd. But the Blues get my vote because they are up in the series with the defending stanley cup champs. The Sens are playing the Smurfs that are more worried about what the Sens coach is saying instead of the game on the Ice.

I don't doubt that Crosby got the call because of who he is. If that's the same play at the other end of the ice with Tavares driving to the net, he draws a penalty. I'm talking about all the crying from people saying the NHL has a hand in outcomes of games. If you think that, just stop watching hockey.
- cap1681

Tavares got tripped right in front of the ref right before that play. It was blatant. Is what it is.

There were plenty of blown calls on both sides. It's called hockey. Happens all the time. The difference in this series is that the Isles PP is going at 9%, the Pens is at 46.2%
- cap1681

That of course is a huge difference. Our special teams are terrible, if they were just OK we wouldn't have gone to overtime yesterday. We outplayed you 5 on 5.

Unfortunately special teams wins playoff series. Always has always will. We obviously have to stay out of the box tomorrow and maintain the physical play. Going to be a tough line to walk.
