I mean think about it...how much was Suter's ridiculous contact this offseason? 98 million over 13 years. So if Letang beats him out for the Norris, you don't think Letang can get that same contract (if not more) from a desperate team? I'm not saying it's going to happen, but it's possible.
- Killian

New CBA terms, 13 years is no longer possible.

I could care less what he can get from other teams. Shero has a bottom line, will offer it, if its declined Letang will be dealt.
- Gunner Staal

yup, I agree. would be sad to see him go, but I trust that Shero will get a great return (as he did with the Staal trade)

The level of stupidity is getting at an all time high during this series. With hockeybuzzers, fans, and evidently our players; the day starts out with people in the Islanders room talking about who is the best looking hockey player, to people saying Crosby wouldn't be the #1 pick in a make believe redistribution draft. Wow, I miss Flyers fans at least their anger didn't come from such a strange weird little place.

"what strange goings on here"

Pretty funny huh? Based on the comments, I think Islander fans might be dumber than Flyer or Rags fans. They hate Crosby and I get it. But, those clowns would be giddy school girls if Sid was playing for them. Not Islander fans for some reason. I guess they are the only fanbase that wouldn't want and couldn't use the best player in the world.

If we win this series and move on - what next? Ottawa? Where Crosby and Malkin and Iggy and everyone else takes a back seat to Matt Cooke.

his jaw isnt his head...a shoulder to the head (and i dont want to see him or anyone get hurt) is much different that a shot to the mouth...

im not a doctor but i know for a fact concussions dont go away and are much more susceptible after having 1 or 2

He must be a wierd alien, because last time i checked, my jaw is part of my head.

its hard not to agree with someone who classifies an entire fan base off of 1 persons personal preference...

A return of a successful Orpik-Martin pairing would be big. If they can be close to the same level as before.

That can be said for anyone. IF JT gets a elbow to the back of the head, it might end his career, am i wrong??

In all honesty, most players are one viscous head shot away from never playing again.

He's had some hard contact this seasons, with no problems. Not saying he's out of the woods, but it's not like he has a glass head at this point.

A case can be made that any player's career can be at risk from a "dirty" hit/accident.

Side-note: Hopefully, Orpik & Martin going through drills is a good sign...

That's exactly what i'm trying to say. To use that as a knock on Crosby is just splitting hairs.

Yep, can be said about anyone. P. Bergeron has held up rather well, despite early concussion issues in his career.

if you could somehow trade crosbys health for a player thats never had concussion/facial injures, would you do it?

Crosby, Kunitz, Letang and Malkin join Neal on top power play.

Not sure how I feel about removing the Iginla shot from the right circle. We tend to become a little too predictable without that threat (i.e. left-side dependant). Granted, it may not make a major difference either way.

It was three posts which once again was started by a Pen fan. Go find a sense of humor. Pretty ironic you have Marx as your avatar?

Iginla isn't at the morning skate, so don't read too much into it.
