I enjoyed the part last night when Symba was crying for the coach to pull Price out... and goals kept coming in
- WaterBoy

it was stupid to leave Price in after the 4th goal, it's not like the Habs were trying to win the game at that point.

Therrien was horrible last night, just like his team.

You win as a team you lose a team.

Pretty sure I heard that somewhere...

The refs should have let Gallagher and Conacher fight.

I love the habs, but I don't think what we saw last night was Montreal's strength. It would be like going to war with bows and arrows. They are a small team, there is not denying that. With that said I'm not saying the Habs can't play a physical game (Game 2 for example), but they need to stay within the boundaries of their ability. Last night was an emabarassment to everything they have worked for over the year. But this Montreal team has made it through thick and thin all year, and been consistantly able to bounce back. Bounce back they will.

A team is a solid unit. A team win's or loses the game as a unit. So to say the Senators didn't deserve to win the first game is as far as I'm concerned completely incorrect. For those who don't follow the NHL as a whole just take a quick look at Ottawa's stats. They generally outshoot their opponents by a fairly good margin, they even lead the lead in shots on goal if I remember correctly. With this being said, does this mean that all the games they lost while outshooting their opponent were games they should have won? No.

The Senators did enough in game one to deserve the win. The Habs didn't do enough to deserve the win. That is exactly it. A goaltender is a part of the unit I discussed above. Carey Price who is a world class goaltender, and who may very well find his way deservingly into the starting roll in net at next years olympic games didn't play well enough to win. Not in game 1 or game 3. So his poor play, and the poor play of the Habs defense lead to the loss in that game. A loss they deserved.

Also, I find it funny that we classify the Gryba hit as a head shot, or even describe it as a dirty hit. Why do we classify it as such? Because he was injured on the play and Shannahan said it was a head shot? Is this the same portion of the NHL who deemed Chara's actions to be justified on Patches all those years ago? Let's put this into perspective. The vast majority of the hockey world deem the hit to be a good, solid, hard hit with a horrible outcome. Yes the NHL gave him two games, but once again this is the same organization that didn't give Chara even a minute of penalty time for what he had done those years ago.

If you want to read something to this effect read this article http://espn.go.com/blog/n...amage-control-not-justice.

The Habs had every right to react to the hit. Anyone would, but I don't think it is fair to take it beyond that. Larry is a great player, and what happened to him is horrible. But bad things happen all the time. Look at Markov for example, or even Karlsson.

This is a series where two teams of similar skill are battling for a spot in the second round. Outside of some of the crap that was going on last night (head shots, two handers, elbows, etc....) this has been some great hockey.

Here is hoping the Habs can get back to there game, and then see if Ottawa can respond. The series is 2-1 for the guys to the west, and the earned and deserved that lead. Time for the Habs to be better.
