AV and bowness have bread this culture. If you fight you get benched....you make a mistake you get paired down. Go watch "the last gladiators" about Nill and see what a heart and soul tough guy gets from bowness.

Gillis totally screwed the team by not taking something in the summer....

Both guys should be canned. But AV should have been gone years ago. It was obvious he couldn't build a scoring system. Personally I would love it if Burke came back. Guy was awesome. Makes trades, wears his heart on his sleeve.

All these poster now takin about Lou the savior when before they all slagged him for his playoff performances.

Lemmings.....all of you.

If Burke was your GM lapiere and burrows wouldn't be on your team. You guys can slag burke all you want, point is your roster wouldn't be nearly as hated as it is now since Burke at least makes his players accountable and drives them on respect.

Yes, that's what I'm telling you. I keep Schneider at all costs. Luongo can go for free as far as I'm concerned. It's heartwarming that everyone is in love with him thanks to his twitter skills, but he's still the same overrated sieve who can't move from post to post with any power/control and gives up weak goals late in big games.

A healthy Schneider is as good as any goaltender in this league, and he's just entering his prime. RELOAD around Schneider. We're not that far off once AV & Bowness are gone.

Sorry but Lu and Kane are better than Schneider and Ballard both short-term and long-term. I would rather build around Kane than Cory.

Beginning of an END, for the Canucks...damnn only players i see skating..Kesler, Hansen...and good on LUO....cant see them coming back from a 3-0 deficit, with NO Offense & Defence...Sharks look good.......Personal & Player changes are needed in the offseason.....rather Keep LUO, trade Schnides in a package deal..get something worth the wait....Gillis has to go

Well at least then you can then say you have a plan...

Sounds good. Do we get our own TV show every year to watch instead of the playoffs.

Hopefully there won't be any riots if they don't win the draft lottery every year though.

Didn't Burke bring in Kesler and Bieksa, two guys on many people's hate list as well. And according to some fans, he also brought in two diving, soft sisters(the very same that he was wanted to sign in Toronto). Leafs fans can't have it both ways.

Bieksa's great alongside Hamhuis... But he hasn't been with Hamhuis yet. Every player that looks like sh!t right now, looks like sh!t because of AV & Bowness.

It's not possible. The Jets wouldn't do that trade. If they really want to get a new goalie they're are also plenty of other options with guys like Backstrom, Bernier, potentially Hiller, Mike Smith(if they believe he isn't a product of the system), etc.

Yup, AV is (frank)ing awful but his right hand man is just as bad. Newell Brown was brought in by Gillis, but he also seems to fit in well with the other 2 since the PP is stale and adjustments are seemingly rarely made.

That may not be the exact types of deals, but you have to agree that the offers will be a lot better for Schneider than Luongo.

I could see the Jets having a big interest in Cory. Their goalie was near the bottom of the NHL. It's also not secret that Kane has had some issues with playing in Winnipeg.

If Vancouver couldn't land Kane for Cory I'm sure they could get someone close from somewhere else.

I never said anything about bieksa, nor the sedins, nor kesler. BURROWS AND LAPIERE, two huge clowns who undermine your whole team. Even the canucks must get sick of their antics and it is a huge drawback to your team. Bieksa plays with an edge, don't mind that. Kesler doesn't dive as much anymore and plays with grit. The sedins may be soft, but that can be said for a lot of players around the league.

It appears the Blues fans were right in wanting the Canucks playoff matchup...

Instead we get a dog fight with the kings but at least it isn't quite to the sens/habs style yet but at least it has been some entertaining hockey.

Ian, If I'm a GM of a team that could use a goalie upgrade and I do like Schneider a lot and have been interested in him in recent years and he's finally been made available since Gillis now has to decided to keep Luongo. The asking price is a young goal scoring winger that's under contract for a few years that has proven 25+ goal scoring ability is a pretty highly thought of around the league(Near Evander Kane value). Would you not rather maybe try to trade for Jonathan Bernier(assuming the asking price is cheaper) or sign someone like Niklas Backstrom and keep that young forward as part of your core to build around? I would think that most GM's would prefer that route, but maybe that's just me.

The best series thus far is LA-STL and MTL-OTT... - I did not mind the VAN-SJ game until the 3rd period...

Here is my guess for the summer:

-Gillis fires the entire coaching staff saving his own ass for the moment but FA puts him on an extremely short leash.

-Ballard bought out.

-The possiblity of a Booth buyout will be 50/50. I actually think Gillis/new GM will try to trade him, if not he still might keep him and see if he can contribute while healthy.

-With Corrado playing as well as he has (even though the sample size is small) and the emergence of Tanev, I could see Edler getting traded before his NTC kicks in. This trade will be the big "shake up" roster wise.

-The goaltending situation will once again be the most interesting story line to follow this summer. This has been going on now for long enough. If Gillis can't find a solution to this, it could very well be the last straw for him as GM.

-The young players on this team have to play and they have to contribute. While Corrado and Tanev have been a pleasent surprise, the Canucks need guys like Kassian, Shroeder, Jensen and possibly even Gaunce to play a regular shift in the top 9 and contribute. It would also be great to see a guy like Archibald or Mallet step up and become a regular on the 4th line. I think it obvious, Sestito and Wiese are not the answer. Hopefully a new coach will be able to handle the young players a lot better then AV.
