I'm wondering if it will be Lu and Kes, in Gillis' office ask to be dealt this offseason.

Kesler has used the word embarassing a lot in the past two weeks. That can't be good.

- IanEsplen

They may be in the GM's office but I assure you it won't belong to Gillis.

Learning from history maybe?

But seriously, you're telling me that if the Jets said Kane for Schneider and Ballard that you wouldn't listen?

- IanEsplen

No, I wouldn't listen. Other moves need to be made starting with sacking this coaching staff & abandoning its horsesh!t system. I keep one of the best young-ish goaltenders in the league and reload.

honestly i dont know your team enough to know who is part of the problem
- nightmare3020

The list of players willing to pay the price in the playoffs for the Nucks is MUCH shorter than the players who aren't.

if your superstars aren't setting the example of playing their hearts out, tough to expect the rest to follow in line. Ironic that the guy who seems to care the most is the guy management is trying to get rid of the hardest.

Yeah, so let's keep the proven choker for another decade.
- DrChristianTroy

They have score 20 goals in their last 15 playoff games. I'm not sure it really matters who is in net if you're only scoring 1.33 goals a game.

I knew SJ would be a tough match up but I thought you guys had this series won. I feel bad for Luongo, He has been a class act all season and played his heart out in the first two games.

The only upside is next year you will guys will hopefully have a new coach, a healthy Kessler and no goalie controversey.

I can't stand Kostka and how he got a chance at game one is beyond me. Good solid AHL defensemen but is simply outclassed in the NHL. So glad to see O'byrne take his spot.

And Grabo is a beast against the Bruins and has turned into quite the big game player. Kid has a huge heart

I would tell all these players that we are moving towards a younger team and trade them all.

Ryan Kesler - would bring a great return!
Alex Edler - talented but no drive or passion.
Kevin Bieksa - would bring a decent return.
Janick Hansen - package him with one of the above.
Cory Schneider - would bring a very good return. (stick with Lu)

Get rid of:

Booth
Ballard
Weise

Let these players walk:

Raymond
Lapierre
Pinizzotto
Roy
Barker
Alberts

- LeftCoaster

Lefty you're a good poster and all, but there's really no point in posting serious proposals/plans where you half or more than half the team being replaced, that just doesn't happen in the NHL.

I agree 100%! Without a doubt I feel Luongo should be the starter in Vancouver for various reasons.

If the Canucks were smart, they would trad Schneider. Fire AV and apologize to Luongo and say you're our guy, no questions asked for the rest of your career.

The window for the Nucks is slamming shut so why wouldn't you go with the guy who's more of a sure thing in Luongo. Schneider may have a longer career but the Nucks are going to be poop anyways in 5 years.

So you're telling me that you have Lu for a 3rd and a prospect on the table vs Schneider and Ballard for Kane and you aren't interested?

I fully agree that the coaching staff goes first, but I don;t think that is up for debate.

How is it possible a team with two of the league's top five goalies is facing a 1st round sweep? I don't get it. Canucks fans deserve so much better.

True. Outside of Kesler and Luongo and the 4th line, I haven't seen anyone raise their game at crucial times and the time to do it has now passed.

If Gillis had a brain at all (and I know he doesn't) he would fire AV as soon as this series is over. Sit Roberto down and apologize for the crap they put him through and beg for him to be the #1 guy going forward and they would end the controversy over the summer.

I think Lu could be convinced to stay if you got rid of AV asap

Vancouver will go nowhere in the playoffs until the idiots Burrows Bieksa and Lapiere stop their act of cowardice and start to play tough hockey. Spearing Couture, slamming him into the boards 5 secs after the play is over is not going to win you games. These guys need to figure out they are only hurting the team with their antics. All of the powerplays SJ got last night were warranted and when your differential is -7 in powerplays you prob won't win many games.
- Daceroni

AV and bowness have bread this culture. If you fight you get benched....you make a mistake you get paired down. Go watch "the last gladiators" about Nill and see what a heart and soul tough guy gets from bowness.

Gillis totally screwed the team by not taking something in the summer....

Both guys should be canned. But AV should have been gone years ago. It was obvious he couldn't build a scoring system. Personally I would love it if Burke came back. Guy was awesome. Makes trades, wears his heart on his sleeve.

All these poster now takin about Lou the savior when before they all slagged him for his playoff performances.

Lemmings.....all of you.

Everyone go except for kes and lu
Only 2 guys that play to win and not think that they are too cool for hockey
Everyone gets traded for good young potential prospects or top 10 picks (Sedins,Cory, edler)
The rest can walk or get traded as a salary dump

Yes, that's what I'm telling you. I keep Schneider at all costs. Luongo can go for free as far as I'm concerned. It's heartwarming that everyone is in love with him thanks to his twitter skills, but he's still the same overrated sieve who can't move from post to post with any power/control and gives up weak goals late in big games.

A healthy Schneider is as good as any goaltender in this league, and he's just entering his prime. RELOAD around Schneider. We're not that far off once AV & Bowness are gone.

So the goalie who played great the first two games and brought you to a game 7 stanley cup finals is a siv and the guy who let in a wrist shot from just inside the blue line and has accomplished 0 in the playoffs is your future?
