I also notice Bieksa makes no mention of his slashing of Havlat's balls in game one, but of course the Canuck players are all saints who would never play dirty hockey.

So are the Sharks right?

Couture complains that the Canucks are "chirping," when his mouth is running non-stop.

The Sedins are getting cross-checked in the head multiple times after almost every whistle—I for one am glad to see them dish it out for once.

It what it is.

Who cares? It's all part of the game, part of the rivalry, and part of the competition.

The Sharks appear to have come out on top this season. Just watch, and enjoy the Canucks getting beaten by a better team this season.

Is this supposed to bother me?

I really don't give a poop. All in the past.

Only guy who really dives anymore is Kesler.

I really don't know what point you're trying to make. Lots of players in the league dive.

It doesn't bother me.

Far from it (saints that is). My point was Bieksa should shut the f*ck up, its the playoffs and in the playoffs you do what it takes to win. Nothing else matters.

As for coming out on top, it is 3-0, could easily be 2-1 and it ain't over yet.

You'll see how Canadian he is when we find out what injury he's been playing with. As for Thornton, that slashing call on Hamhuis was embarrassing. It was a love tap and he's shaking his hand like it almost got chopped off.
- hertzman

Thornton is known for that - not surprising.

I'm not saying it should bother you. I'm not saying you're team is garbage, or chirping you for losing a series, or anything personal. I'm simply trying to show you why the rest of the league hates your team, since you seem to disbelieve me.

if that was your stance from the start I would have said 'okay'. I'm just showing you why, since again, there was some doubt. Cheers.

You don't know what the rest of the league thinks.

Vancouver has several players that are disliked by other players in the league—they are supposed to dislike the teams/players they play against. It's a good thing.

You don't know what these players think and feel once the competition is over and they're not on the ice. Furthermore you don't know what these players are like off the ice either.

I'm not sure why you are wasting both of our time...

I really don't care what your opinion is on the issue, because you don't have any valuable insight.

You guys are heading down the road that Calgary took......held on to aging veterans who should have been dealt last year.

Except the Canucks have more and better players than Calgary had, and also have a better prospect pool than Calgary had when they started their decline.

Similar path, maybe, but the Canucks are in much better shape, overall.

Pretty close to what I envision the lineup like next year.

I have a hard time seeing even a new coach moving Kesler to wing, unfortunately. Partly because there isn't a 2C replacement, and I doubt the Canucks make a splash and get one in free agency.

If it is our lineup we are out first round again

There's a high likelihood, for sure. But again, anything can happen once you make the dance.

I'll wait and see what kind of effects a coaching/system change have before I make a prediction.

Planning on having a look at the FA pool soon. Until then I won't speculate fully on what the lineup will look like.

Don't foresee huge changes to the core, though. Luongo gone, and maybe Edler traded.

Different situation - Calgary not only held on their vets, they also didn't make the playoffs for years. Canucks at least have (had?) some reason to to believe they had a competitive team so why would they sell off.

I was listening to Doug MacLean and he said as long as Thorton and Marleau were steering the ship SJ would never succeed . He said the Sharks had to hand the reins to Couture and Pavalski . The same needs to happen to Canucks .

Most media and Insiders today are saying it is time to break up the core and no one should be on the untouchable list. I have to agree . This team is too soft .Kesler is one of the few Canucks that crash the net and goes to the dirty areas consistently. We have a very European attitude with the laid back attitude never get to high .never get too low. We need to light a bomb under their arses

Ferraro MacLean and Ward all say this team is done and are no longer elite. They think it is time to break up the core . As well did every broadcast crew on the 1040 today think it is time for big change.

Overreaction. Their analysis is coming from an "as-is" POV. They're talking about this core in this system and stating the (frank)ing obvious.

Doc would you pay 100 bucks or more next year to go see the Sedins Edler Bieksa Hamhuis Raymond Booth Ballard?

I wouldn't spend 20 dollars to go see them unless they were offering 2.00 beer.

The empty seats in the playoffs and regular season are showing fans are getting tired of this team. They need to improve drastically or lower prices substansialy

Haven't seen a single analyst/insider say this, but I haven't really been looking hard.

I think they need to consider moving a core member or two, but only if a deal comes along that makes sense and improves the team.

I honestly don't think the Canucks need to "blow it up."

I don't want to see it, and I'd rather watch this team continue the way they have and hope some prospects develop well, and that they draft a few gems, than watch them trade away players on the current team that I've enjoyed watching for years.

I wouldn't pay a (frank)ing DIME (and haven't - only go when it's free) to see an Alain Vigneault coached team. I do think that the right coach can turn this core around in a hurry.

Ward Farraro MacLean Kevin Weekly all said it . Did you listen to the 1040 today? It was not pretty.
