Welcome to my world.

I mean, when you literally see the blade right in front of your face, contact or not, do you honestly expect the player on these guys' team to not sell that? Dying seconds of the game? Really? Anyone would do that.

Who cares, they didn't score. More importantly, they didn't deserve to be that close. What lazy coverage from Backstrom on Stepan's goal.

They don't have to change the style as much as they have to account for Green. I will take my chances with Carlsson and the others. They just can't leave Green alone. He is lethal. I just think they are comfortable absorbing, its crazy, as a soccer coach, I see this all of the time at all levels but you can keep several players up the field and actually counter, in hockey you can't play with that kind of depth bc its only 5 on 5.....I am not saying they will survive
- Blueshirts4ever

Then they need to make a point to have someone like Hagelin shadow Green, whenever he is out there. Green will kill the Rangers if left alone.

Selling it for a second is one thing, he sold for about 5 seconds. Gimme a break

He sold it from red line to blue line

Capitals actually outplayed the Rangers for the majority of the game. The third period was a better effort by NY but the first two periods, aside from the Rangers power play chances, Washington hemmed the Rangers in for large portions of the first 40 minutes at even strength.

Just take the winger on that side and move him out, they still have the 4 on 3 down low. Thats what its about, they'd rather give up the points to outnumber the opposition down low. It could work against average d-men but against special talents like Green you can't do it. Remember how Erik Karlsson just about controlled the game from back there last season? Same poop!

The Caps controlled the tempo, but when you give up two soft goals like Asham's (green) and Stepan's (Backstrom, with Ovi right there also), you don't deserve anything.

I just hate when refs either make a bad call or get made to be a fool. Both happen the last 2 days.

It's over we won. Good luck to caps

Like when they call a too many men on the ice when the other team had 8 guys on the ice when the whistle was blown?

Which is great but that is also a cluster(frank), Moore shouldn't the only guy on the ice thinking shoot first.

If it happens early in the game so be it. But not with 2 minutes left or OT.

It was blown coverage, which happens. No disrespect, the Caps defense is not the strength of their team anyway.

It's their offense that is flat out dangerous, almost every time out.

They both played great, but those two lapses cost us dearly. You guys are certainly capitalizing on your chances more.
