Watched game 6 NYR vs Devils from 94 after they lost games 4 and 5 and then were down 2-0 after the first reminded me of tonight all you need is a little momentum and things turn quickly in a series. No reason this team can't find a way to score a goal or two and get back on a roll.

I agree. I heard about this rumour recently. Is there any substance behind it? I'd be shocked that Carolina would give up Skinner? Not knocking Staal it just seems Skinner ceiling is much higher?

On wfan today Ron Dugauy said Kreider and some of the other younger players are afraid to make a mistake and are paying to much attention to defense and not just going out and playing offense.

I love the player and could see myself making a move like that but only if A) Staal seems to me that he won't be interested in remaining here beyond the term of his current deal (and we can't technically even negotiate an extension with him until July of 2014) and B) I'm comfortable that Skinner's head is not an issue. He's had two concussions already in three NHL seasons; another one tells me he is prone to those problems.
