Capuano is a (frank)ing moron. He obviously has some personal beef with Grabner because it certainly has nothing to do with his play. Most coaches would love to have a player that's an incredible PK'er, can play on the PP and is excellent 5 on 5 plus be a thirty goal scorer on top of it. I've been saying this for the last couple years, it's obvious the coaching staff has some kind of problem with him. That half wit Thompson after Grabs scores the game winning goal, "well he's been OK, we'd like him to shoot more". Are you (frank)ing kidding me you moron the guy just scored the game winning short handed goal(this was during the reg season)!?!?!?!? Grabner was incredible last game. All he does is prove he deserves tons of ice time. Capuano rewards him by giving Reasoner 13 minutes of ice time after being a healthy scratch for over a month and Grabs 7 minutes? How'd that work out for you and your mullet Capuano? Worst coach in Islanders history folks

May have an adverse effect for you guys. Fleury is one of the bigger pranksters on the team (search Fleury - Hockey bag. He somehow fit himself into Talbot's hockey bag and scared the crap out of him). He might play along and and calm himself down in the process. Never know.

EDIT: it was Colby Armstrong's bag

His nick name is "flower". That's enough of a joke right there.

this is what my lines would look like next year

bailey-jt-nino
ko-strome- lucic/ryan
grabner-nelson-martin
mcdonald-cizikas-ullstrom/fa/tough prospect

than some combo of hamonic, visnovsky, hickey, fa/trade/prospects/(strait or carkner who i think have more value on the team then they would fetch via trade)

yes...that means id unload neilsen, macdonald, strait, carkner and moulson (+ prospects/picks) for lucic/ryan and a top dman

- LetsGoIsles

You'll have to do better than that, because the first two things I'm asking for as an opposing GM are Niederreiter and Strome, followed by Reinhart. You have to make the right trade. Out of the guys you mention, Moulson MIGHT bring you back a nice draft choice if you're down the cr*pper, and playing for the draft again. Other than that, you're not getting Lucic or Ryan unless you unload top end prospects, especially since our draft pick is going to be in the middle of the pack. You're not fleecing anyone- Milbury is on TV, and Jay Feaster is only the GM of one team, and the Flames don't have anyone left who you would want.

My first thought is some combination of Nino and one of the young d-men other than Reinhart, plus HIGH draft picks, for Yandle (maybe if you do throw in Reinhart as the d-man, you can start talking to the Predators about Weber). That would be my first attempt to do something- we desperately need that kind of defenseman. If that isn't obvious after yesterday, I don't know what convinces anyone of that, and those are the kind of players for whom it would actually be worth trading our top end youngsters.

I'm also warming to the idea of Miller- mostly because I'd rather trade less for Miller than more for Luongo, and we still need a goalie until one of these kids proves he can play. He's not my favorite goalie, but on a good team, he'd be good enough, IMO, and if you let Nabokov go, you need to do something. A team that can go toe to toe with Pittsburgh in a playoff series deserves better than goaltenders who aren't ready. I'd also try to sign Douglas Murray as long as the number doesn't get too crazy.

If we can do all of that without moving Strome, this team will VERY good next year. The management just has to get it done. I can't imagine any player not wanting to play here anymore, after this season- this team is clearly on its way up the ladder.

Call me crazy, but how KO & Bailey are playing has raised their trade value.
Does anyone think they could be put in a package for a star player?

Also do think Snow will explore getting a younger goalie, whether Bernier, Schneider, Smith, etc, and bring back Nabby too.

Next year JT will have another Star winger to improve the team.....

Wow, I hope we dont get the same refs that the Rags have in their game now because if anybody even so much as looks at crosby we are going to the box.

I don't think so- those guys won't bring back a star player. If you want a big time player, especially one on a bad team, you are going to have to move the top end kids.

Nino, while he is at his highest trade value. He does not want to be here, from the reports. He is playing well at the worlds. It will not affect the team chemistry.

- bixll

It will not change this team at all, and he, the draft pick and one of the other prospects just might bring us the top end d-man we need.

This just in: the Leafs suck. So does Montreal, and they're a bunch of punks, besides everything else. Now you know why I had a sh*t fit that we lost our last three games- we'd have mopped the rink with either one of those piles of cr*p.

Thes guys will not return you a top 6 player.
- bixll

Yeah, none of our myriad second and third liners are bringing you a high-end quality player. You have to CONvince someone that our prospects sh*t roses. That would be the ticket.

Would have loved to play the Leafs, sens, caps or Canadians. We would be up in the series without question.
