Bounces between the Bridge and here....I think the better question is where does Matt Moulson go. He really doesn't fit in anywhere at this point, so if there's a trade to be made, perhaps it starts with him....it probably wouldn't be hard to deal a three time 30 goal scorer along with say Ullstrom and a pick

BINGO!!!!!!!!

now were talking!!!! you want a BIG TOUGH top 2 dman...make a trade including a 3 time 30 goal scorer and a prospect or pick....

I see what you mean, but IMO it would have to be a 2 way deal with Aucoin.

You all forgot about Anders Lee. I would think he'll fit into the equation. My gut says Nino (or Lee) goes with a pick for maybe Bernier...Since Garth was a goalie I'm not sure he is enjoying the series Nabokov is having. I think he tries to sign Nabokov (1 year $4 mil) but as Staple mention, they would like an NHL vet to play behind him...or maybe 50-50...then they try and bring in a NHL d-man to take Streit's place until the kids in Bridgeport are ready...
- kear20

Both very possible scenarios, and I would LOVE to see a guy like Bernier - Miller or dare I say Luongo brought in here to solidify the goal situation. But I was just responding to the point that due to a log jam in BP guys would have to be traded & no one HAS to be traded.

As LGI pointed out as well.. other teams are going to need to move high priced guys for low priced talent & picks.. that is where we come in & we may be bale to get a very talented player or 2 for some of these prospects we have.

For an orginization these are all GOOD problems to have....many players fighting for a few roster spots. It builds competition and depth. Through the years i have heard that from Torre/Girardi, Coughlin and others. These are the hard choices coaches love to have to make.

My only concern is in goal. Even if Nabby sticks around for a year or two I don't think any goalie we have in the system would be ready to take over by then. And if he leaves we are really screwed...we would be like the bizzaro Rangers great team, crappy goalie.

I think other then finding Boyes replacement, goalie should be our main focus.

I think you need to watch the penalty again. It's not just Strait all over the top of Crosby, it's Strait kicking Crosby's far skate out as he pulls on his shoulder that actually takes him down.

So call it like it is and not about how you feel. Not saying that this is always the case, but this time it is what you see. Strait deserved the penalty. Sorry!

Stop being a homer, every single fan in the NHL except Pens fans will disagree with you. How do you, as a hockey fan, not find this pathetic??

Islander Prospect report!

Mitchell Theoret (Barrie Colts, OHL)
Following a seven-game Eastern Conference Championship series victory, the Barrie Colts now take on the London Knights to see who will represent the Ontario Hockey League in the Memorial Cup. Following two games, Barrie and London are tied 1-1 as the series shifts to Barrie. Islanders prospect Mitchell Theoret tallied an assist in Game 1, bringing his postseason point total to 15 (10 goals, five assists) in 16 games played.

Griffin Reinhart (Edmonton Oil Kings, WHL)
Griffin Reinhart’s Oil Kings defeated the Calgary Hitmen in seven games for the Eastern Conference Championship despite losing Reinhart to a foot injury in Game 3. Now two games into the WHL Final, Edmonton is knotted 1-1 against the Portland Winterhawks. Reinhart’s return remains questionable as the Oil Kings look towin their second consecutive Ed Chynoweth Cup.

Without question, Im more angry at him taking that penalty then I am at them calling it or Sid embellishing it (which I really dont think he did)... tragic way for a playoff game in OT to end.

I know this is off topic but for whoever is going to the game tomorrow this might be a fun change of chant towards Fleury... this is from a good buddy of mine and die hard fan .. this worked wonders in the national championships for collegiate club hockey when I was there a few years ago...Lets get it going and keep this moving

Lets get the puppet going tomorrow night at the isles game, You know when a goalie skates to the boards in between plays? The crowd chants SKATE SKATE SKATE SKATE TURNNNNN SKATE SKATE SKATE STOP!!! BEND OVERRRR like they control him you know, like a puppet? I noticed at the last game fleury does this so if we did this A it'd be hysterical and B. it may get under his skin, you'll know it does when he either doesn't skate around or gets to his crease and studdersteps. If we can spread the word before tomorrow's game it'd be awesome to hear 16,000 people chanting this at him. Islanders fans please share this with all your friends.

May have an adverse effect for you guys. Fleury is one of the bigger pranksters on the team (search Fleury - Hockey bag. He somehow fit himself into Talbot's hockey bag and scared the crap out of him). He might play along and and calm himself down in the process. Never know.

EDIT: it was Colby Armstrong's bag

That's nothing. One time PA Parenteau tricked circles into having corners, thus creating squares.
