Morrow-sutter- Cooke need to be consistently on the ice when Tavares is out there. I really wouldn't mind seeing Kunitz with Malkin and Iggy with Sid. I honestly would also like to see Kennedy in for glass. As a healthy scratch for the last 2 games, you know Kennedy would come out like a bat out of hell to not let it happen again. Oh, and get Engelland out of there.

I would be too. They know they can win and I'd expect them to play like that every game now.

This is just the result of a fan base that has really high expectations. There isn't enough therepy in the world to help me when Flower puts the puck into his own net.........AGAIN. At least he didn't throw it in like he did vs Philly.

As much as I would like Vokoun to start game 3, you can't do that to Flower unless it is going to be for the rest of the playoffs.

So good in the first and so shaky in the 2nd and 3rd. Schizo goalies do nothing for my nerves.

O Noes!!!! (that is me)

yes. Let's treat last night's loss as the 1st loss of the series, since that is what it is. If Fleury loses again tomorrow then I am absolutely for starting Vokoun in game four. Having said that, I bet Fleury plays lights out tomorrow.

I hope so. If we lose with them competing against the best if not one of the best teams in the league I can't complain. they played like this for a month and got away from their game the last few games of the season and continued like that into game 1. The way they played yesterday is the way they were playing before, hopefully they can keep it going. The Coliseum is going to be insane.

You can rule out a high ankle sprain for Neal, he is on the ice skating today and taking some aggressive cuts.

I'm sure there will be. Had a few friends with you guys last night. This should be a good one tomorrow. Wish it wasn't an afternoon game, we have a bad habit of underperforming in these games.

Sorry John, but we disagree here. Playing Vokoun would some how imply that the loss was due to poor goaltending. The entire team took a dump last night, and MAF's play was all that kept it close. You let a team fire enough pucks at the net and some of them are going to go in, whether via an ugly bounce or not. Playing Vokoun sends the wrong message to a team that needs to look itself in the mirror.

I wrote this last night and my opinion stays the same-

Look I give Isles credit for taking advantage of the momentum created by poor officiating but that is all I can do right now. Yes the Isles we're the better team most of the game but with score 3 - 1 I felt the NHL stepped in to make it a game. A couple soft calls against the Pens but the one that changed the game was when Niskanen delivers a clean hit and okposo is allowed to start a fight and we don't get a PP then they score. Before that Cooke gets attacked by Hamonic and does nothing while Hamonic drops the gloves still they call Cooke!!! It gave the Isle's a chance and to their credit they took advantage of it.

If not for officiating the Islanders crumble and it's 2-0!!! This is why the NHL will always suck because the score will always call the game.

Sorry but now I'm debbie downer, he skated prior to Pens practice and then dressed for the team practice and left after 10 minutes. Still, you can't skate at all with a high ankle sprain so that's good.

That's the best news I've heard all day. Geno needs him back ASAP. I thought that putting Bennett and Igggy with him instead of Crosby was a huge mistake by Bylsma last night.

As I said last night, I keep Fleury in net. The vote of confidence should work well for him. It has in the past. He wasn't the problem as I see it. When you allow as many shots as the Penguins did there's going to be a problem. They have to control the game better.

If Bylsma thought that Jokinen was a better fit on line 2 as the game went on I'm fine with that, but it was really puzzling to bench Bennett like that and then utilize him in the last minute.

Yeah, I think it's still good news. Means it's nothing long term. A high ankle sprain could pretty much ruin his entire post season.

I thought so too. There was a lack of jump that was really easy to see. Bennett hasn't had a problem in that area and he's put some hits on. I would've kept him out there. The first shift they had showed he could work with Malkin and Iginla well enough. But, what do I know?

Sorry, but blaming the officials is the easy way out. The Pens dropped a big turd at center ice last night, and weren't playing very well even when they were up 3-1. The Islanders really raised their game, and earned the win. Blaming the officials is just weak.

I think the silver lining here is that even when the Pens are that lousy and the Islanders play that well, it was still only a 1 goal game.
