Just wait until Girgs, Grigs, Armia, McNabb, Larson, McCabe as well as the two 1st round picks next month are on the Sabres roster. You will get over your jealousy.

Girgensons has looked fantastic the last few months. I think he'll be a regular in blue and gold by the end of next season.

I agree. I think he'll be on the Sabres roster sometime next season. It will be interesting to see how Armia performs in North America as well, be it at first in Rochester and then Buffalo or straight to the Sabres.

Girgensons should be here before Armia. Girgs can play bottom 6 role and probably do it very well. Armia is a top 6 guy, might take him time to earn top 6 in the NHL.

I agree. Girgensons would be a great 3rd liner. He's got skill so he's not going to kill you in that regard and he's tenacious. He's got a solid defensive game, will play physical, and works hard every shift. He's the prospect I'm most excited about to be honest.

When and if Larsson and Girgensons are both NHL ready, which one of them plays center with the other plays the wing?

I wouldn't mind a line of Leino/Porter/Girgensons.
Tropp/Stafford/Scott - 2 of these guys probably won't be here. My guess Staff and Scott - sbroads24
I would switch Larsson with Porter. Porter is a solid 4th liner, but that should be his ceiling. I also think it would be interesting if they could find a way to put Girgensons and Foligno on a line together. They could do some serious damage in more ways than one. Girgensons has been playing LW though when he's not at center and that's what Foligno is listed at. One of them might be able to move to the other side though.

if we can move up into the top 5/3 then we'll definitely be moving up our rebuild a few years! i'm super excited about the possibilities at the draft! i still want them to keep vanek and miller!

Larsson has been playing center and Girgensons on the wing. I don't really care either way if they're chemistry continues to grow. - HonkFortheGoose
I have a feeling Foligno might start next year as our 4C. He played center before. I wonder if they like him better there. He played the last 5 or 6 games as our 4th center.

I think he will start off on the wing for a while. Maybe be a center in a few years. - sbroads24
I don't think he makes the team right out of camp either. Not unless they really have a fire sale. There's enough people for the roster next year that they don't have to rush him. I think he ends up here by the end of the season, but I don't think he earns a regular spot until around the halfway point.

I don't. Neither is going to re-sign to a rebuilding team at their ages. If they aren't dealt then it's Drury and Briere all over again, gone with nothing in return.

It's actually worse, since Miller and Vanek were both drafted and groomed here. That's 2 big investments that you let walk for nothing. They can't afford to do that.

I think Stafford is gone. Maybe Scott. I think Leino stays. Tropp probably gets the roster spot over Girgensons but if he continues to improve they might have to keep him on the roster, he improved so much throughout the year, especially while dealing with a concussion
He is un-inspiring and he had a chance to make a few statements while he was coach and he didn't, I have no confidence in him to lead the club and teams always play a little better after the coach is shafted they suddenly have to play for their jobs again.
