'sweet trim' such language, Fosco

(pssst, who doesn't like the 'trimmed' look, yes )

- Zogg

Can't take credit for it—somebody called into 99.3 the fox after the Canucks for kids telethon and made a comment about some of the player's wives who were answering phones.

Believe the exact quote was; "those Canucks have wifed up some nice trim."

Exactly. Still a dumb penalty but a little common sense from or zebra friends would be nice
- Bieksa#3

Couture's was straight up malicious.

Puck was gone, Henrik was on the ice, and Couture gave him two clear cross checks to the head

Agree to disagree.

... and "following someone into battle" isn't purely a military reference as far as I'm concerned.

Edler's. He took the body, but got outworked.

You really want to start this? Bieksa hasn't been having the best go of it the last little bit either

edit: who did Thornton beat to keep the puck in the zone

Who was it that Thornton put on his ass before beating Edler to the puck? That's what I thought.

Maybe he should have been held up off the face off

Btw Edler and Bieksa shouldn't be together anyway. Hamhuis and KB make each other better. Even hamhuis doesn't look as good without Bieksa

I'm just saying getting beat on a play is one thing, but being out if position is another. Edler got beat by a pretty good player, give credit where it's due.

Oh I know, and to be fare he scored while sitting on his Iggy. Nice play by Thornton.

Why are we doing to good of job covering guys in our end. So if we have Cody "I'm scared to stand within 20 ft of my man" to give the dolphins more chances?

I just started watching, in fact say down just as the goal went in. Agree though on the #2/#3 pairing thing, pair Edler with Corrado and Ballard with Garrison.

I think the sharks are pretty damn good and match up really well against the canucks.

Agreed.

Hamhuis looked better when paired with Bieksa, and now that Garrison has adjusted to the right side, he'd be a good fit with Edler.

Not exactly the best time to be trying out new pairings—then again, AV's doing it with the forwards....so might as well...

I said this 2 months ago. Canucks are a puck possession team, not a puck pursuit team. We have to dominate the face off circle to win. I was saying over and over again how we needs a great face off man at the deadline. Go (frank) yourself Gillis

Edler played that fine, but got beat by Joe Thornton, who's not a bad player.

Other than the first 6 weeks of inconsistency, Edler's been fine.

I'm pretty convinced we've seen the last of Ballard at D in a Canucks uni. AV just doesn't like him there.

He's benched in favour of Alberts, and a player fresh out of the OHL...

I'd rather Ballard on 4th line W over Ebbett, tbh.
