I hope AV sticks to this and doesn't play his hunch-game. - bloatedmosquito
One thing I think we can all agree on, AV is a moron. His success in Vancouver has been solely because we've had a talented team and a great goaltender in Lu. If the team fails this year I hope to God he's gone for next year and they change the make up of the team. |

Why the pessimism? So we lost a game, big (frank)in deal.
Marwood lost a game.
Scooby lost a game.
Nucker lost two games.
Fosco lost a game.

I would just like him to stick to a game plan for the whole game. |

Possible? It's in the bag, esp if Sharks stop cheating!! Whaaaa
http://prohockeytalk.nbcs...wed-to-cheat-in-faceoffs/ - Sconnie
I agree with you, AV should stop whining and start coaching his team to win.
Todd McClellan outcoached him on home ice, it was sad to watch.
Sounds like he's preparing to lose again. Getting sick of this. |

I'm not really sure it's whining. Maybe his players are coming to the bench and telling him that. Maybe he tried saying something to the ref about it during the game and the ref didn't do anything about it.
It's kind of his job to point things out. Who knows, if Vancouver goes 50% on faceoffs tonight it worked.
There's also that chance that he just pissed the linesmen off and Vancouver will get chucked from a record number of draws for trying to show them up. |

Minnesota in 5. The Hawks won't score another goal let alone win another game.

The hawks will eventually take this series. If it does take 6, I'm worried about a well-rested possible Sharks opponent.
Your guys need to do this tonight or it could be 4 straight. Luongo needs scoring support to keep his own confidence up. Definitely pulling for the Canucks tonight. |

Since beating Boston in Boston they have played 3 or 4 really good games. That's it. |

Dude... I don't think you need to worry about the Sharks beating the Canucks before the Hawks can deal with the Wild.
If the Nucks bring that 2nd period effort for a full 60 minutes this is going to be a war |

I think no matter how much pre-scouting or preparation a team does, nothing prepares you for what it's going to take to beat a team more than actually getting on the ice versus the opponent.
The Canucks saw the Sharks up close and personal. Now they know the compete level the Sharks will bring to the table for 60 minutes and Vancouver should adjust accordingly.
It's kinda like boxers feeling each other out for the first few rounds, and then boom, the fight begins.
It's in the culture of the Canucks to play to the level of their opponent. Always has been, always will be. I think Vancouver coasted into the game on Wednesday based on all the prognosticators predicting them to roll the Sharks.
Now they know they're in for a fight. Their pushback should be fierce tonight. Should be. Their will is being tested right off the bat. |

Come in here and yak when your team does something - one game doesn't make a series - you would think a Hawks fan would know that. - docmorgan
not sure what you're implying by that last comment... please remind me of the last series we dropped after winning game 1. blowing a series lead seems to be your expertise. |

The sad part about that is that the Sharks were actually pretty flat after the first. We have yet to see the best that either of these teams have to offer. |

That LA team was like the running of the bulls in Spain. Nobody was going to stop them.
With all due respect to the Sharks, they ain't bulls. |

With all the complaints about secondary scoring, why does it seem like the Sedins get a free pass. They're paid to put up points. I'm certainly not saying that secondary scoring is not required by any means but it seems like the bulk of the complaints involve the 2nd and 3rd line. The first line has to really step it up.
