Man did Lunqvist suck last night!
I guess our two teams will be teeing up together next week....again.

- keaner17

hankie kept us in the game all night except for that chimera goal. he should've had that one

before that though, he kept it 0-0 throughout the first until we scored when the caps were literally poopting on our lives and you can't really fault a goalie for letting in a breakaway goal. maybe if the caps didn't somehow get like 4 powerplays within 22 minutes of gametime it would've been different.

Thought the Queen was the best in the biz?
- Bags502

besides that chimera goal, hank showed he is the backbone of the rags and truly is the best in the bidnezz.

I tell you this if the Ranger lose in first round wait for the queen wanting out of NY. He has no allegiance to them and would leave in a heart beat

I love Lundqvist, but that Chimera goal...damn.

I would love for Lundqvist to go somewhere else, but honestly where do you get that from? How can you possibly draw that conclusion?

Best in the "bidnezz" doesnt continously let up soft goals when it matters most.

Every goalie should keep you in it for 60 minutes during a playoff game. It was a TERRIBLE goal that sank the Rags in that game. Nabby did the same to us.
I'd say both our teams are heading for the same tragic ending, difference being we're playing a monster of a team.

i'm interested to find out what other soft goals he's given up in pressure moments the past 2-3 years...

yup that goal totally changed the dynamic of the game. 3-1 as opposed to 2-1 in capitals home is just a huge difference.

but regardless, we only scored 1 goal and we honestly outplayed them for 48 out of the 60 minutes...just couldn't solve holtby and that one stretch in the 2nd killed us.

we'll take game 2. you on the other hand...get out the brooms ladies and gents.

Meh, I don't think Henrik is the best in the business or even top three right now, but over the last five years combined you can maybe make that argument. Either way, being the best in the business means little if it only entails regular season performances.

he won the vezina (you know...the award given to the best goalie in the league) last year and has a very strong chance of winning it again this year. he's for sure a finalist for it.

to be fair to hank, every rangers team in front of him until last year has been a playoff bubble team destined for a first round exit. he had a solid team in front of him last season and he took us to the ECF...

Honestly I don't have any vested interest in that series since I probably hate the Caps more (not from NY so.....). That said, I think those back to back goals were a huge lift for the Caps confidence. You may when a game or even two, but you'll end up the same place as us either way. I don't think you'd win a game against the Pens either though.

How about the simple fact that he has been the "best goalie" in the league over the past 2-3 years and chokes in the playoffs every year.

The 2nd goal last night although a breakaway from the blueline, was a weak goal. It hit the Queen in the arm and trickled in.

He is still a great goalie and Id take the Queen on my team any day but he just lets up to many soft goals when it matters...

didnt you predict the rangers to win last night?? you are starting to get a reputation as someone who consistently predict the future and how things are going to turn out; however, the kicker is that youve consistently incorrect. keep up the good work!!

Eventually he is going to want to win a cup and we have all seen his frustrations of late. If the Rangers don't start winning or getting to the Cup he will go where he can win one

Best in the business is a current title. This year, for my money I'd take Bobrovsky, Rask and Anderson over him. Don't get me wrong, Henrik is awesome...during the regular season.

**edit, I'd also throw Rinne in that class as well...

Tell the queen to make a couple of saves against a team who is a one point better than you and then we can talk.
- kasperrko

He gave up one soft goal last night. The rest, he wasn't saving. I think Washington takes them out in six.

Honestly, I could care less what happens to the Rangers in any series that isnt against the Isles... Do I want them to win the cup? No, but do I care if they do? No. Isles wont get swept but we prob wont win the series. Should worry about ur team and not troll here cuz ur goalie choked... again.

i just don't understand where this choking in the playoffs is coming from. he has had zero help every year in the playoffs up until last year where he took us to the ECF and he didn't exactly choke when we lost...we just lost as a team.

as for the 2nd goal, yea it trickled in and it was tough to see but a breakaway is a breakaway. it's tough to blame that 100% on a goalie ever no matter how much the puck just trickles in.

Honestly I don't have any vested interest in that series since I probably hate the Caps more (not from NY so.....). - keaner17

it was a huge lift but we still dominated them for the majority of the game afterwards. i have nightmares about holtby

after last night's game though, it made me realize that we can easily beat the caps even if we lost 3-1. we all think its gonna be a brutal 6 or 7 game series thats back and forth and last night kinda confirmed our assumptions.

and you're forgetting that we owned the penguins 6-1 and outplayed them in a shootout loss the last 2 times we played em. but hey, all speculation and we'll see.

Dude worry about your own team. there is so much pressure on the Rangers it is not funny. For us no pressure at all. We are happy and so should you. Have a good day Kencan

Let's face it, the Isles sucked during the last 2 games, Flyers/Sabres...they took that crappy play into the Pens game...they better wake up or they'll be coming home down 2...get Reasoner out, and some meat into the line up....
