one underrated part of the game last night was how much Bylsma outcoached Cupuano (sp?). In some games, one coach out coaches the other but in most, the coaching doesn't have a huge impact.
that wasn't the case last night. Bylsma did a good job matching up letang with grabner for the speed and Tavares against Cooke-Sutter-Morrow.
really great coaching job from Danny B last night. we need that every night. - SuperHenderson13
Well, we all know when the Pens lose, its because of DB's lack of understanding and coaching ability. |

Internal fixation means screws and plates. This gives the bone internal stability. But, it is there as an assist to the real strengh, the bone itself mending together. My guess is the bone was fragmented. This mens the stability of the bone is poor until 6 weeks out. He had surgery April 1st. Going out 6 weeks is May 13th. It is unlikely he would return much before this date, IMO. - powerhouse
This is pretty much what I read somewhere else. 6 weeks was actually the minimum. |

Coming from Bylsma's biggest critic, he has really seemed to adapt ALOT better than he ha sin the past. I give him credit, he deserves it. |

This may sound odd, but a knee sprain on Neal would be a faster recovery time than a high ankle sprain.
Hell Gonch played 1/2 the cup run with a brace on a partially torn MCL.
I'm hoping for a 'corky' big bruise in his quad, or a slight knee sprain, the corky will be better in 2-5 days he knee sprain at max 14, high ankle sprain is at min 28 days....
I never thought I would say knee injury is 'better' than an ankle injury but hockey skates make them so much worse than other footwear |

if crosby is cleared to go, then let him play. seems like the docs are being cautious with him. but if doctors say he is good to play, then hes ok to play |

Congrats Pens fans.
My analysis of this series is the same today as yesterday - the Islanders suck. |

I liked the focus on the Morrow PK shift. I remember that last night and the ovation that followed. I didn't realize that it was while they were up 5-0. Even better! |

God, Ottawa's defense is TERRIBLE tonight. Good thing Anderson is on. |

Quick question for you guys. On the shift where Letang smacked Tavares around, what did you think of the second one? The puck's in the corner and Letang is going after it in pursuit, with Tavares close behind. About 5-6 feet from the puck, Letang throws on the brakes, and as soon as Tavares is on him, shrugs him off with a shoulder. I didn't have a problem with the hit, but thought it should have been interference. Wouldn't have made a difference in the outcome at all, just wanted to know what you guys thought. - jmatchett383
As soon as I saw it, I thought "That's Interference.". Its not one of those things that I want to see called, but Im surprised it wasn't. Letang wasn't playing the puck and neither was Tavares yet. |

exactly. and this type of play happens several times a game and it goes uncalled.

It could've been interference but that doesn't get called when the guy is defending from a hit. |

I don't like the non call. If they are skating side by side and Letang did it, it would have been any easy call. It's going to take a star player getting concussed for the GM's to change how that's called. |

Anyone watching Montreal v. Ottawa. Freakin Anderson is the man. Ottawa being outshot 47-24 and still winning 3-2 with 8 minutes left. |

Dustin Brown is bordering that dirty edge pretty closely. He just threw a forearm shiver/knee at a Blue. |

Hard to determine if it is an entertaining game or just flat out ugly. It's certainly hotly contested.

That was a heck of a hit to take. What was Rafael Diaz thinking with that pass to Eller. Not sure that is suspendible. He didn't target the head; didn't leave his feet. That was the wrong call. It wasn't interference.
