Oh good you're already talking about us . I have a question for you all, actually a couple. Oh dearest Maple Leaf fans, who do you consider a better up and comer, Schenn, or Couturier? I routinely hear fans of other teams talking about getting couturier from the grasp of the evil Flyers, but I'm not sure if thats because they favor him more, or because they believe Schenn is more untouchable. I'd like an outside opinion. Nextly, what do you place the value of Jake Gardiner at? I was looking at him, and realized that he is Luke Schenns offensive twin, they just have the most perfect compatibility. Both from the same original team, opposite hands, same height, complimentary styles (Jake being more offensive, Luke more defensive), but still adept at the opposite style (Jake still being good defensively, Luke offensively), both being within a year of age of each other, they are practically made to play on the same pair. So be completely realistic when I ask (dont immediately say couturier), but what is your value for Jake Gardiner?

I thought it was a good hit. ... little on the blind side but he was out as he was falling.

So if he's out on the way down, how was it clean?

Its not interference, but it was targetting the head from the blindside. Shanny may give him 6 games just to ensure that he's not gonna play any more of this series, lest any shanahannigans ensue

Similar to Lupul's hit. .. Rosehill came from his blindside as well.

But the contact from Rosehill was in a different place than intended as Lupul had just been hit (cleanly) from the other side.

In the case of Eller, that's a more preventable injury

Looking at the hit over and over. ... I still think it's a clean hit.

He got a 5 for what happen afterwards. ... it wasn't even a penalty.

Geeze on the replays it doesn't look as bad as I first thought.

I still think this is the stuff they want out of the game and it was blindside, so it is still a suspension IMO.

Seemed to me like he clipped the entire body of Eller but the follow through was on the head.

I hear melnyk has a strong defense team. if you can counter the slew of doctors, scientists, hypnotists, cryptozoologists, fortune tellers, and gypsies, you might stand a chance.

I agree. Looked bad but it was NOT a hit to the head. The whole panel agrees that it shouldn't be suspendable and should have only been a 2 minute penalty if anything. Not Gryba's fault Eller has a soft face. Either way I'm sure the cops are on route.

Latest is Mclaren and orr are being replaved by Frattin and Colborne, Kostka broke his finger and will be replaced by Obyrne or Gardiner. This might be the change Toronto could use. In addition Toronto needs the stars to show up, and the defense to clear the puck. Carlyle addressed puck movement in his interview today after practice
