wow..beer was working!!! - Garnie
If you had a few more beers mabie the Leafs would have actually looked good to u. Like an ugly chick at the bar, the more u drink the better she looks. If game 2 starts out like game 1, mabie the only way for any Leaf fan to get through this series is to seriously drink ALOT!!! |

I didn't say Boston was mean..I was laughing about Ark being grumpy.
Not hard to outplay the leafs when they shoot the puck to the other teams players for 50 minutes straight.
Boston couldn't outplay a hoard of midgets right now...only the leafs and there beautiful breakout they got going on!!!! - Garnie
I was agreeing with you and aardvark ... saying Boston was mean, or dirty or whatever would be the ultimate whining. Not surprising it came from a Canucks fan apparently. |

Yeah, you really don't understand how it works or what I'm saying.
There's a reason it's been over a decade since a team with a worse shot differential than the Leafs made the playoffs.
Unless ........... the Leafs are actually the most talented team ever assembled and they just choose not to outplay their opponents - Double_A

Wasn't a bad loss,
Positives:
Boston was at home,
they didn't physically dominate us,
Our penalty kill was good,
In my opinion Reimer played good, bounces weren't going our way.
Grabo looked good,
Our energy guys did their jobs
Negatives:
They dominated in the amount of time they spent in our zone which is the root of the problem,
D was suspect for every goal, but that has to do with the first point
Kostka,
Couldn't get our offence going since we had to dump and change when we got it out of our zone.
Things to change:
Kostka out, O'byrne in,
Practice breakouts to minimize defensive zone time,
Keep Grabo with MacA and Kulemin
Start hitting their best players hard, if they want the puck they have to pay for it.
Still a winnable series

I think the Leafs performance last night was probably the worst I've seen a team play in the playoffs in recent memory. It was text book 101 on HOW TO NOT PLAY IN THE PLAYOFFS. To win in the playoffs, it's all about intensity, committment, the sacrifice, putting it all out there, playing your guts out, doing whatever it takes to win. Leafs failed in every one of those categories last night. Leafs have a short period of time to learn how to play playoff hockey or else they are going to be eliminated quickly in humiliating fashion. |

You know what I'd love to see? I wish they would have a loser bracket for all of the teams that didn't make the playoffs...They would play one game elimination to see who gets the #1 pick... |

The two worst teams in the final standings get a first round bye...The other 12 teams pair up according to final standings...The next round you add the two worst teams for 8 teams...Then 4 teams and finally the last two remain...Whoever wins the last game gets the first pick and whoever loses gets the second pick...The rest of the teams would pick in the order which they finished the season... |

Wow I love that idea. Like a 14 team tourney for the 1st pick. Send this idea to the NHL office in NY. I'd rather see the Leafs involved in a tourney like this for the 1st pick instead of seeing them get their ass's handed to them on a platter by Boston. |
