The Isles are a lottery team. They should have been one this year and will be one next year and possibly the year after. Then maybe they will start to rise up in the standings.

They aren't even close to the Pens of 07 and the comparison is laughable. To say that they are 2 years away from being a cup team is a joke.

Out of all seriousness lets face if the season continued the Islanders would not be in the dance and the way they played last nigh if they continue to play that way I rather they did not make it. They are not ready for the big time

You really cant make that assessment till after the series.. 1 game isnt much of a measuring stick....

I do however tend to agree with you that this team could take quite a downward dip once Nabby is gone and not adequately replaced.

on the other side, within the next 2 years we will be replacing place holders like Boyes, Reasoner, Calkner with young solid players.

I also believe the person who said that ment that in 2 years we would be on the same upward trajectory the pens were in at this point in their build.

Are you crazy? In a full season the Isles would have had 50 wins and would have won the Presidents Trophy. The math was already done 2 days ago.

I'm not bitter at all and yes, this is entertaining. When I'm sitting at work I have nothing better to do. Sure I could watch some Netflix or whatever but that gets boring after a while. I have a few meetings with clients today so I won't be on here long.

Ah...so you admit then that you find personal satisfaction out of irritating everyone here (and presumably other places). So there's a nice snapshot into your personality already. Yet you're shocked that anyone treated YOU poorly. You've been banned from a few sites, so this certainly isn't your first go around. Yet you see this as a healthy activity in your 'spare time'. I'm sure your clients would be wowed at that little glitch.

You're definitely got some deep-seated issues that you should perhaps seek help with, but if we're offering your decent enough therapy to keep you from beating a kid or shooting a neighbor, I guess we're doing our civic duty.
