Ahhh...sweetness.

Because you said this several times with a twist of homerism, a dash of ignorance, a spoonful of optimism and a half cup of blindness. You also never put it the way I did.

- systemtool

Blindness homerism optimism facts are all interchangeable.

WTF? They used the middle of the ice on the 1st 5 giveaways from 10 minute mark in the 1st until well the rest of the (frank)ing game!!!! USE THE (frank)ING BOARDS
- Garnie

No they used little hell marry flip passes, don't use the boards. Watch Boston, they do not use the boards at all. And when I say use the middle I mean deeper in the zone. Pass the puck to a guy in the middle, when he gets pressured one of the wingers should be trying to get open to receive a quick pass and then skate the puck out.

The fact we got thoroughly dominated by a Boston team that was hands down better than us is really not debateable. We didn't lose because Boston fluked out on our mistakes. We can talk about giveaways all day long, but thats just one of a plethora of reasons why we got our bumholes filled last night.

I never said anything about 2 years ago, maybe you should take a breather.

They dominated the play, like last night. Difference was, this time the score reflected the play.

- systemtool

Oh

Those were the real Leafs and those were the real Bruins.

Has everyone all of sudden forgotten the complete and utter dominance the Bruins have had over us the past few seasons?

When did this one game become the exception all of a sudden? This has been going on for a long time.

Then followed up saying you can't use reg season.

It's one game guys, and the first one, lots of hockey left to play yet. Leafs looked a little intimidated by it all last night, it'll be different Saturday. Reimer seemed nervous as well but he seemed to settle in some near the end there. Does he always whine so much when he gets scored on ?

Few, not 2.

Also, I just pointed that out. They're in our heads. Its a mental game and all those "unforced" or "uncontested" turn overs and mistakes were a result of them.

That said, Bostons playoff resume, experience and cup win are the reason why they will dominate and are, dominating us in the playoffs. A better team, a team with a mental edge, and all the tools to succeed in the playoffs.

I never once said that Boston will beat us on regular season factors alone, nor did I ever do what you did, which is look at the regular season and why Toronto can win and why Boston might struggle. Big difference.

Yes the bruins play a great team game, and have excellent set plays in their end of the ice where the can almost make blind passes to their team mates. I am just pointing out that those plays are not completely fool proof.

The only set plays I have seen Toronto do for a break out is quickly throw the pucks around the boards to the other side hoping the far winger can chip the puck past the pinching D man in time. See how well the worked last night.

I don't think it's about set plays. I think it's about depth. the Bruins can roll waves at the Leafs and all they have to do really is stop Kessel or Lupul and kessel does a pretty good job of stopping himself against the Bruins.

Not much the Leafs D can do to clear the puck if they never touch it. Didn't really hear many of their d-men's names yesterday and the few times they got it out the forwards turned it over.

this is a matchup made in hell for the leafs.

guys I'm sorry you had to find out this way.

He's usually a lot more composed than that. I think he was just frustrated last night.

Agreed again....

But if this year cannot be used, then those "few" years you mentioned don't count, because regular season can't be used. Right? Because that'd be a contradiction.

Whats worse is that not everyone has found that out yet..

Some think we just made a couple of mistakes and the Bruins weren't that good... ..
