So what's the mood in here?

Anyone think we have a chance?

Personally, it's hard to say. I want to believe the Bruins have an 'on' button they can push to pull themselves together. If they do, this series could be quick.


Yet,

This isn't the same Leafs team that got female dog slapped around over the past few years by the Bruins. Komarov and Kadri are just as capable to being physical and annoying as Marchand.

Reimer, while not as experienced, is just as capable to stopping pucks as Tuuka.

What I think it comes down to in this series is a battle of captains. We all know what Chara can do. That being said, this is Dion's first foray into the post season since he was 22-23 years old. He's a different player, and I really believe he has to make a big impact in order for us to succeed. If he can lift our PP up a notch and provide a big hit or two at the right moment, then I think it can settle the rest of the team down.

I think the Bruins get on us hard tonight, and could win a blowout. If we win, it'll probably be in OT.

They'll probably take this series, but I don't think it's a 4-5 game series like a lot of people are saying, we'll make them earn it.

so a habs buddy of mine tried chirping me via text saying:

"its been so long since the leafs have been in the playoffs you are now playoff virgins"

i told him that i agreed and i expected to cry a little after it was over tonight

At least you have the most complete player in the history of the NHL

Hoping we at least keep it close. A win in the next two games would be a huge boost.

Interested how we have a 2 day break between games 1 & 2.

Media will love having an extra day to dissect every little piece of the game, regardless of outcome.

It'll be a rough first 10 for sure.

Send out the Blue Bombers to set the tone and make sure the Bruins know they'll be fighting for every inch of ice.

I know fighting isn't common in the playoffs, but it may be necessary, as that barn will be going nuts

4-1 Bruins

We won't be able to settle down tonight. Lots of nerves getting to people.

Game 2 after a 2 day break with a chance for RC to fix some things is more appropriate.

That said, we get on them physically, and perhaps get the PP clicking and I think we have a chance.


Still, really excited. HD playoffs!

I would like to see Roy coaching in NHL, he would def light a fire under the ass of his team. You have to think COL will come calling as well.
