I found one more. Why does MacLean picking the Leafs not make me feel better?
Hockey Central insider predictions
Chris Johnston: Bruins
Mike Keenan: Bruins
Nick Kypreos: Bruins
Brad May: Bruins
Doug MacLean: Maple Leafs
Scott Morrison: Bruins
John Shannon: Bruins - D.Lemieux
Meh. Boston isn't going to intimidate their way through the LEafs like they have done to other teams. If anything the LEafs have the edge in that department. The LEafs score more goals, have just as good or better special teams, and are younger and fresh. I don't see the big bad bruins, I see a very comparable yet less offensive competitor. And again, I digress, ROW goes to the LEafs 3rd in the league, no shootout in the playoffs. |

For the 7 minutes it will be interesting? Or the remainder where it will be frustrating?

You guys really aren't worried at all? I mean, I know we aren't playing great, but the Leafs always struggle against the Bruins. Not that history always repeats itself, but it would be disconcerting to me. |

No - Kadri said it would be an easy series, so why worry? |

Nope. No reason to. Only edge for the B's is they are a little better defensively. |

When you ignore the Bruins suffocating defense and Torontos lack of shots on net the past month, it sure does look like we have a chance. Im just going to ignore Chara and Lucic so we have an even better chance! |

There can be no worrying when everybody expects them to get punked by the team that has mangled them for 5 seasons straight and "should" be the second best team in the conference. |

I honestly think his temper is an asset at times. Drives him to do better. He often gets mad after games, but during games it seems to motivate him more than anything imo. |

I think the majority of us dont actually expect Toronto to win this series. I do think they have a shot, any team does, but its not expected. Considering that we haven't played a playoff game in almost a decade, and this team isn't built to "win now", the euphoria of just playing the games is enough to make the possible loss of this series bearable and forgiveable. |

I would've put more of these but I didn't want to break hockeybuzz. But ya, the 9 year wait is over. You know that famous clip of Tucker going to the bench, slamming the door and smashing his stick to pieces? That's been me, at home, watching the leafs, for the 622 games they played since last playoff appearance.

I'm not suggesting that it's easy, but a lot of the hype over boston is just that. It's all mental, all the LEafs have to do is get over it because they are as good or better playing against the same teams all year in every category accept goals against. It's just a mental hill... And keep in mind, as good as Boston is and when they won the cup, they played in front of the best statistical goaltending performance in the History of the league, certainly in the finals especially. So again, great team, but it's only mental, the LEafs should have total confidence they can win and get over the past. |
