as i stated in my initial post...i thought it was a good hit...shoulder to chest; the head did not get hit...the crash to the ice did the damage..awful sucker pass by his dman

no way that is interference...the puck is there...once again the refs blew it and got caught up in the injury.

don't want to see any player hurt like that...but that was not a 5min major/gm misq

- bogiedoc

I know you said it was a good hit..like you said to the chest or even the abdominal area..but nowhere near the head..

This is a tough one for me...i get the feeling Shaw and Bicks are tight as phuck...not sure if i want to break them up...but then Bolland would be a 4th line center ? Isn't DEPTH GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR88888888888T

- philco28

Yeah chemistry is important and Shaw and bicks are really good friends. But Bickell and stalberg do seem to have good chemistry, too. But Bolland had great chemistry with most of the bottom 6. I thought the Bolland-Bickell-Frolik line really turned around that Vancouver series. But Bolland looked great with Bickell And Shaw, too last year. Actually a line with Frolik, bolland, and Kruger could be a solid line

I guess I'm seeing it totally different, but at 16 seconds on the NHL video his head snaps back like it got it hit. Looks like it to me at least

The goal Craw gave up wasn't as soft as the peanut gallery made out...sure he'd like to "have that one back", but the release was quick with a partial screen. My main complaint after watching it several times was his positioning was off "by that much". Seeing eye wrister finds the thinnest of gaps between arm and post shortside.

Only goal all night...I'll take that. Just like last years playoffs though, my first complaint is the lack of offense. The club with the largest goal differential in the league should not be struggling to score at home against an 8 seed.

Score more and no one is b!tchin' about Craw giving up "a softie".

his head snapped back but the there was no contact to the head...his shoulder hit the upper chest...in real time at that speed...its a tough call; i suspect no suspension

and the blues and kings get it going again; interesting play near the end of the first when bernier loses the net and wraps up petrangelo and tackles him to the ice...grt football play but that is a penalty...ref looking right at it says play on..

i give up figuring out what is or isn't a penalty...refs can't figure it out why should i bother

AR...its been like that all year at home...maybe 1 or 2 gmes where the hwks dominated and put away a team..

for whatever reason tms come into the UC ready to play and hwks play well enough to win and make it an adventure in the 3rd period

They are better on road, but not much. A lot of those also came down to the end. They have so much firepower and yet have trouble burying teams. I do think they need another pure sniper next year. But I agree about last year that the Offense let the Hawks down bigtime. If the offense did their job those 5 games would not have gone to OT against phoenix

Haven't you been paying attention the last few years? High hits by the Canucks are "solid hockey plays."

The 2010 had that for sure. I think it is ideal and rare to have such a deep team with great chemistry where you can roll out whoever you want at any time and still get great play and pressure. People hated Q for changing lines up but when you can switch players and not screw with chemistry that really screws opposing coaches

Agreed...I've mentioned it several times, and when you look at the home/away splits it's apparent, the Hawks were a better road team and home games were frequently nail biters.

Obviously they win most of 'em, but it's aggravating at times....like NOW.

That's how I picked'em in my bracket, with the Caps going to the Stanley Cup Finals against the Hawks.

I think I would be doing the same thing. Then could you imagine all the posts about Brouwer in the thread? Oh boy! It would be a circus!

By the way, you can type the word "damnit" with out the Hockeybuzz expletive auto-correct.
