Rangers have about the same chance of winning their first series as the Wild do.

Oh, ok.

Can I take back my last post in light of this valuable new information?

if the 2nd line is clicking without Bolland, I would not assume Q will disrupt that.
- John Jaeckel

I like the idea of Bolland at 3C and Shaw moving down to play with Kruger and Frolik. That 4th line just got more dangerous. I don't think Q will be worried about that 3rd line being downgraded with one of the best checking centers in the league slotting there.

Like the 10 offsides they had Tuesday? Handzus looked terrible to me, was never aggressive, seemed like he was too afraid to get caught deep in the zone. Kane especially needs help along the boards, seeing how he despises any and all physical contact. So if we're going to play a defensively responsible guy, let's play the guy who has shown he can do it in our jersey.

I think the Hawks would give them all they can handle. And without Crosby, maybe the Hawks get the edge.
- John Jaeckel

They aren't a good 5v5 possession team, and when the Hawks get to have the puck a lot they are almost impossible to beat. Stay out of the box, put Bolland on Malkin, and I'll take the Hawks everyday of the week and twice on sundays. LA and StL scare me the most, hopefully like 3 players on each team get minor injuries that knock them out of the playoffs

Sharp is struggling this year and has been hurt most of the year, we should throw him on the 4th line. People here get carried away with likes or dislikes of certain players. If Bolland comes back I see the 2nd line. I agree with you, I don't want to see a long playoff run with Handzus as our 2nd line center. If you want to see a guy we need for certain game situations get worn down and out, then let Zues play on that 2nd line.

Just curious, what's the tiered playoff ticket pricing for this season?

Ya, but Bolland's looked so great all year.

At least half of those offsides were very questionable whistles, BTW.

What has Bolland shown to warrant playing a top 6 role? Just curious because his legacy has been on a shut down role...never has flourished in top 6 inutes, which is why he's becoming VERY expendable with Kruger and Shaw coming into their own.

Somewhere Aaron Rowand is very jealous of all this crazy Bolland accolades....

Off the top of my head I don't know. I just was telling my brother - this only means NEXT YEARS playoff money is going to be even that much more expensive.

They are literally trying to squeeze every dollar out of the fans now while the team is competing for a championship knowing that when this core is gone, they start to suck again, season ticket renewals will go in the toilet. Hiilarious.

Not happening....he's hurt....bad back which will never get right, and now it's affecting his lower body because he's over compensating to take pressure off his back as best he can.....see groin injury.

IF Dave Bolland EVER commited himself to the gym and conditioning, he'd be a top 6 guy. Yet, he doesn't...he's the kid in highschool who has all the talent in teh world, but is being passed by, by the people who put in the work off the ice.

Trade him why you'll still get something for him.

Took the words from my mouth. The only legitimate offsides I remember were Sharp's fault, not Zeus.

Only problem I had with Zeus in that game was his FO%

It's not his fault the Hawks didn't find it important to sign a 2nd line center............... He is expendable, next year. If the Hawks want to win a cup this year, it would be easier with Dave Bolland(if healthy) than with out.

How do you know he doesn't commit himself to the gym? Do we see him in the papers with Kane drinking all night? No we don't. He has back issues, if he was over compensating for it he shouldn't have been on the ice. That is on the training staff and coaching staff.

That came off a little sarcastic from me and that wasn't my intention, my bad. That's true about the calls, but I think if the Hawks are sharp form the beginning, those calls aren't made. My point was pretty much, I'd rather bet on Bolland than Handzus, despite how bad 36 has been (and I'm one of his biggest detractors) I think he is a better hockey player at this point in his career. Now if he can barely skate due to injury, that's a different story.

And the season ticket packages won't even include the outdoor game at Soldier Field. This is the price you pay for a good team and good attendance, Chicago.... "

I sit in the 300 level in the green level on the pricing chart.

I believe I paid $95 for round 1, and $108 for round 2.

Carcillo's a pretty strong personality so it's no surprise he might not mesh well.

- philco28

He seemed to mesh well last year. Must be that he developed a bit of a tude not being in the line-up night in and night out.

Yes -- you, my friend, and I are the only 2 Bollus bashers here. The part above I highlighted was what I was referring to as well. No, I don't know Bollus' daily routine nor do I really care to.

However, what I do know is that, from their play, guys like Toews, Kane, Leddy, Frolik, Kruger, Hjalmarsson and Saad have been hitting the gym. Of course, it's a foregone comment that Hossa leads everyone there -- stud #1 on this club!

We can all point to certain things with each player:

Toews: even stronger on his skates with the puck
Kane: wrist healed, much better shot and endurance during his shifts
Leddy: much stronger along the boards
Frolik: motor never stops running
Kruger: clearly more speed and strength
Hjalmarsson: more speed this year for sure
Saad: hey, he made the club and impressed as the year went along. "nuff said.

And then we have Bollus.
Cripes, even when "healthy" he looked worse than me skating, like he was carrying a huge load in his drawers. No jump. etc etc

If those are traits of a gym rat, a guy working out all the time, I guess I'll take the Bobby Hull route and drink myself to stardom.

Absoutely...

There's also a fine line between raising ticket prices and gouging your fans who came back for the product.

They've given the company line of price increases are necessary for scouting, player development, getting players, coaches etc for the last few years. This has been by far and away their largest increase over the last few years.
