Again, the whole Bollig vs. Player X argument is stupid.

Bollig is NOT the reason the Hawks were offside 40 times, the Wild took away the center of the ice, Harding was mostly brilliant. And those were the real problems.

I would just be glad the Hawks outhit the Wild and registered some big hits and that is mostly why Bollig is out there. If this series goes 6 or 7 games, and Suter plays 30 plus minutes a night, you will be glad for every hit Bollig puts on him.

How many more games will go to OT? probably at least a couple. Bollig is probably the strongest Hawk and one of the best conditioned. Energy was the difference in OT the other might.

I don't under estimate the Hawks physically , I scream at the tv when guys like Bickell, Shaw, Bollig, Carcillo, Mayers, Stalberg and Kruger pass up opportunities to play the body. It seems that in game 1 when a hit could be made it was and that's a huge positive for the Hawks.

Being positionally sound is more important more of the time.

Very true, but there is a time and place for playing the body. Sometimes this teams passes on the opportunity. Looks like so far they aren't going to pass on those opportunities in the playoffs. If that is the case, and this team is physically engaged other teams better look out.

Why would Bollig have a tattoo of Saad's mom? That's a bit weird...

This is accurate JJ. But with that aside, in Game 1, he accomplished nothing by being in the line-up. He just doesnt look hungry. Not to compare, but Carbomb is a better hockey player. Accomplishes exactly what Bollig does except he can skate and bring some skill.
- nickmo2699

And Carcillo is probably more likely to take a bad penalty or a misconduct.

Look if they replace Bollig with Carcillo, I am not going to lose any sleep over it.

But, again, when Bollig was hitting guys in OT below the Wild goal, I'm not sure Carcillo even gets there at that stage of the game. How often do playoff games go to OT? A lot.

The energy of the Hawks 3rd and 4th lines was the difference late in the third and in OT.

If the Wild makes this a series, it'll likely be because Crawford goes soft, the Hawk D can't contain Zucker, the Hawks can't get enough pucks past Harding or get forced out to the perimeter and don't adjust.

Not because Bollig played and Carcillo didn't. At least, not likely. Why are we even talking about this?

Agreed 24/7/365, especially when he's healthy. The organization has phucked him over big time. He brings more energy, more of an offensive threat and he has opposing d-men with their heads on a swivel.

Bollig's a good role player, but gimme Car Bomb EVERY TIME.

That is kind of . . . disturbing. The hat at least.

Regardless, he has legs like tree trunks. Very strong, well conditioned dude.

Why shouldn't we JJ ? It's a legit issue for some, including myself.

Carcillo is a better hitter, also more likely to get out of position to deliver a big hit. Bollig, not as much. Disagree on energy, too. And I assure you, Bollig is more of a load to handle one on one on the boards. Carcillo is no slouch there. But Bollig is a beast.

For now, one is playing. One isn't. That should tell you all you need to know.

When Bolland comes back neither Carcillo nor Bollig will be playing anyway.

I get your point...just disagree who is the better option re: 13 vs 52.

Now, JJ...what can you share about how the Q-Car Bomb relationship ? What the phuck is up with that ?

Agreed....and IF he does come back, no way in hell he plays on the 2nd line....Let him be a defensive specialist.

Honeslty, if the 3rd line continues to roll AND Hadzus and/or Sharp dont hinder Kane, where does Bolland fit in?

Wiat for it.......

Dunno, I have heard that Carcillo does not mesh well with some guys in the room. Not sure why.

I think Bolland does get the 2C role. Right now you can't break up the 3rd line and I just don't see Bolland playing 4C while Handzus plays 2C. Maybe it happens, but it's unlikely.
