Wow...definitely disagree with that. Joensuu has played pretty damn well since returning. His forechecking has been strong and he's used the body well. Right there is two things Reasoner does NOT do well. I'd rather have Cizikas centering Martin and Joensuu instead of Reasoner trailing the play by a country mile in both directions.

the difference isnt night and day but given the option between the 2, EVERYONE (well thanks to cappy, almost everyone) is taking joensuu...at least he can skate, hit and get the puck in front of the net.

not to mention the fact the islanders played a brilliant month WITHOUT reasoner as opposed to average while he was playing...im not saying reasoner was 100% at fault for this team average hockey but he CERTAINLY wasnt responsible for them having the month they had...

joensuu is a no brainer... and if not JJ, id rather skate boulton...

One concern here is that we absolutely MUST roll four lines steady through this series. We also need to keep our aggression at it's highest level to create a bit of havoc in the neutral zone. Marty is easily the teams most passive player and is a couple of strides behind everyone. I don't think he's even top three in faceoff percentages for the team so his usefulness there is limited too. I'd rather get as many big bodies on the ice as possible to try and physcially wear the Pens down a bit more.

thatll be 6 centers on the ice....jt, nielson, bailey, aucoin, reasoner, cizikas...youre right, it wont make a huge difference and id ont know what will happen but i DO know the team went on a ridiculous run WITHOUT reasoner playing...id rather play the better player...even if the difference is marginal.
