Islanders suck and it isn't even worth watching.

Sid skating before practice with Mike Kadar, bad bad sign.
Yesterday full intense practice today, tittly winks with Kadar.

Could go either way, but it's looking unlikely for tonight.

I like the optimism but I can't remember a player that was playing that day ever working out with Kadar.

Yeah, I figured I'd leave open the small chance of possibility.

That being said, it's not improbable to deduce that Crosby remains out of the line-up tonight.

The only way he plays tonight, if today is a light morning skate. He may wants to push himself one more time before tonight's game, knowing that today is going to be a light workout that maybe the reason for skating with Kadar. I hear he had a new shield on, maybe he was just testing it with good ole Kadar. Otherwise skating with Kadar would indicate a setback, and that just doesn't seem likely. He was given a green light to practice last week, by the same doctor.

Shouldn't you be out on the first tee caddying for Giroux right about now?

Update Sid only skated for a little bit this morning with Kadar, it must have been to test out a new shield.

I feel like they still don't see a reason to rush Crosby back.

I disagree, it's apparent he wasn't yet cleared by doctors for game-action. Once cleared, he's playing and the team won't deny him that opportunity.

His spot in the line-up currently hinges on doctor's clearance (of whom do not operate on the terms you suggested above).

As much as I'd love to see Sid play tonight, I'd hate to see him re-injure a not fully healed jaw and be out again.

He's obviously close, but I'd be happier just letting that thing heal completely and not have to worry about it.

Looks like Engelland in for Orpik tonight.

I know it's asking a lot, but would rather see Despres versus the speedy Islanders tonight.

Sense is Crosby's broken jaw is so close to healed he's moving into what PIT will call "game-time decision" status until he actually plays.

I definitely championed Despres' cause throughout the year but I do have to say that he has played his worst hockey of the year most recently IMO.

Don't quite understand what about a broken jaw would change between the time Sid is cleared to play by docyors and game time. Are they waiting to make sure he doesn't rebreak it during the pregame meal?
