I better get more then a high 3rd round pick to trade down.
- MJL

I guess it really just depends on the Flyers scout's lists in the end. If the players that are on the top of their list are expected to go around 11, I would see them keeping the 11. If they think their top players are going around 20, they'll probably trade down for more picks. Either way, feel safe knowing that our scouts have a strong 1st round record. We have a nice way of picking up amazing talent, even around the 20th pick or later.

If you could get it then I'd do it in a heartbeat. I just don't think it's feasable. I guess if someone like the Sabres would give you #16 and #38(if they have a 2nd rounder) to move up 5 slots I'd do it.

Why not? A team wanting to do that obviously covets a player. I'd get at least a 2nd to do so.

Does anyone know if the IIHF World Championships will be televised here, and on what channel?

Agreed. The thing is, the Flyers have a habit of turning a good camp into an early debut. Luca Sbisa is probably the best example of this. He played solidly for the first 10-15 games, then struggled a bit after that. There was really no reason to keep him past 9 games.

Even if they land Nurse, he's not going to be hurt if they simply send him back to junior, regardless of how solid he looks in camp.

- Jsaquella

Yeah, Nurse and Zadorov's size should get them consideration to make the jump, but another year in Junior to develop their games would likely be the best thing. Each of them are just starting to tap into their offensive potential and a season playing big minutes and dominating at both ends could be a great confidence builder and good for their development longer term. Pulock might be a little more developed than those two...already three full season in Jr...hmmm...then you have a guy like Ristolainen who is already playing with "men"...could make the jump earlier, but he isn't the dynamic offensive force the others could be.

I dunno, Mezaros can be a decent, 30 point per season defense man. Seeing as he'll just be hitting his prime around now, I still think he has alittle value left.
- JAKEw1234

Mez's value right now is directly tied to his health and prognosis. If he comes back 100% or close to it, he can be a nice asset to the Flyers on the ice, or in trade.

Harding has MS...don't know how long his career will be, but you have to root for a guy like that.

agree. tough break on that winner just now. he played great.

and quick with a horrendous turnover behind his own net on a 4 minute PP in OT to blow it. frack can't help out in time. real shame.

In 20 years, I wonder which players playing now will still be playing and very relevant like Selanne and Jagr
