Too lazy to go back and read the panic after Crawford let the first shot in... needless to say, I was right there too.

Glad to see him pull it together after that though. Made some big saves in OT. Strong finish by him.

3rd line is GOOD.

- AceRatbang

His soft goal tonite was at a "good" time - early enough so that his mates could catch up.

It's those in the 3rd period, or obviously overtime that kill you - which is what happened last year.

That was a great game in the end.
I can't watch it as it's mid day here and work keeps me, so I can only listen to it but it's still great.
Looking forward to Saturday (your Friday) so I can watch Hawks go up 2-0!
It's always great reading you guys' comments whilst listening to the game.

Lets not forget that in OT the Wild hit the post and Parise was stoned in the slot.....
- mrpaulish

Except it never should have gotten that far, as he tripped the (frank) outta Hossa. Even with some calls in our favor, the Wild are obviously outmatched. Seemed like 3/4 of the game was spent in our end, endless icings, and horrific passing.
Konopka is a pos and doesn't deserve to watch these games from the press box.
I'll take a drooling Pommer wearing trainer-skates over Z

But good game guys, see you Friday night

Your boyz played well Sota...Harding was very good considering the situation. Wild had a ton of good chances and could very well be up 1-0. This series gonna be a nailbiter me thinks.

I think tonight was the last of the nail biting for Hawks fans.

The Wild don't belong.

I'm confident we'll be more comfortable going forward. The boys dominated and they were physical tonight, this team has something the last two years didn't

I don't know about a ton, but there were a few Wild rushes that could have ended with a score. Chicago will clean that up as this series moves along, so I'm not expecting to see too many more of those. And your PK is just stupid... PP goals was one of the biggest keys to the Wild having any sort of success.

I realize Chicago didn't play it's best game, but losing in OT 2-1 and we don't belong? No need to be a richard

When I saw Bstrom was out and Harding in...i was thinking you boyz can not come out flat...need to really pound the net.

But they did nothinh but skate around the first period...worry meter took off after that

Well..after the bad goal by Buttercup..
think it was Cullen who was denied point
blank after Keith whiffed on a puck at the point....then Crow made 2 HUGE point blank saves late in the first...Crow made a huge save on Cullen in the 3rd when Oduya got away with a subtle knee on knee...and then the crossbar in o/t...Wild were dangerous...WE ESCAPED.

I wish I could find the quote and who said it (and I'm sure I will butcher it) .. the jist:

"a good goalie can stop the puck from getting in the net, a great goalie can stop the puck from getting in the net after the first goal is scored on them"

Team win,
but

I think a few guys stood out, and the hit totals were up too.

Q for rolling only three and having a quick and fresh Kruger & Frolik as it went deep into the clock...

Andrew Shaw

Johnny Oduya...you guys can call him whatever someone else mocked him with, but he is very quick all around, and threads the needle with that long pass, and was really involved all over.

If the Wild HAD taken Jacob Trouba, he would have been on that backline already.

It already looks like Blues will go deep against LA, good!

Let's just try and get out of the next couple of hawk games in 60 minutes and with wins...

Stalberg's speed made that play!!! Hawks win!!

Shaw did some nice work behind his net to set that up.

Well, the Wild has to start their ascend somewhere.

I remember the strings of pitiful hawk teams that had NO defenseman who could make that long pass, and when they FINALLY progressed to make a playoff, the other fans said the same about them.

The Wild belong there because they are.
And after that abrupt startling start in goal< I gotta think they all brought it.

They may not win the series, but that's how you build your playoff resume...

Stalberg also held the puck too long on two other of his possessions...if he is gonna make a wide turn to attempt the shot, he better get it off, or find an open man who can.

ducks are a scary good team if they can string it together, they have a lot of talent.
