Sorry Mrs. Bean. Maybe you should leave your little seaport and come visit a real blue collar city. It's jeans, t-shirt and Iron City around these parts.

Pens in 6 - Nabokov and Tavares will give them a chance but the Eastern Conference All-Stars should win this one.
Sens in 7 - Spezza not close to ready, but the Sens are so well coached and have gotten this far without Spezza AND Karlsson and a banged up roster. MTL has been flat too.
CAPS IN 7 - I haven't watched much Caps hockey, but if Oates has them playing a similar system as NJ last season, Caps have the firepower and depth to give the Rangers a run for their money. Rangers are also solid and deep. Should be an epic series.
Bruins in 7 - FINALLY the Leafs are back in the playoffs. Let them burn in a brush fire in Boston. Reimer will be good. Rask will be better. Lupul and Kessel will go big, but Boston will shut them down enough to come away with this one.

I'm going 1 matchup at a time as far as who I'm rooting to win it all.
I kind of want to see the Islanders come out of the East. I just don't like any of the other teams for various reasons. I don't like the Isles either, but I like Nabokov, plus they're underdogs.
In the West I want San Jose or St. Louis. San Jose because they have so many great players that have never won a Cup. Poor Havlat is always out with some injury, has always had tons of skill.. it would be nice for him to win. And St. Louis doesn't have a superstar, just a handful of solid players and a pair of goalies that can steal the show. I like how they play and I like that team concept.

I hope it's St. Louis against the Islanders for the Cup. Go Blues go!

With that said.. I wouldn't be surprised if we make it back to the finals next year . Look what happened the last time we missed the playoffs! Finished slated for 8th overall pick.. won the lotto and Larsson. This year we're 9th overall. Lou will trim the fat, add a top 6, MAYBE 9th overall will be NHL ready, insert Gelinas, see if Boucher or Matteau can cut it in preseason. We'll get into next season with more kinks and adjustments worked out that we weren't able to this year without a preseason. Hopefully the rookie/2nd year players will get stronger and we'll come back next year more solid throughout.

I think we could've given the Pens or Habs a run for their money. bah. if only this that and the other. we'll be back next year.
