I guess the "sugar daddy" thing comes from saying that I'm posting here because work is slow? I guess that means that because I have the freedom to post here during work I'm somehow rich? Take that and add the family stuff by the Cpt guy and I guess because I'm rich and married and I'm sugar daddy?

I'm already convinced Boyes is not the best option. I figured that would be true before the season even started.

What no one can convince me of is why keeping Boyes as a plan B is a bad idea. Right now, TODAY, he is the only option. If they go out and trade for Ryan or sign Iginla, awesome, get rid of Boyes. But to say "He's dead weight and we'll find a way" is going into things without a plan and that's a problem.

I'm not here to be liked. I'm here so that next year when (if...hopefully not) Snow brings up Strome and he doesn't live up to his expectations, I can call out the people who then turn around and say "See, I said all along the guy needs to be developed more."

And Ranger fans are exactly the same as Islander fans. The only difference is the date when the "wait till next year" starts. For Ranger fans it's July 1. For Islander fans it's the draft.

The actual thing I said was almost the exact opposite of that though.

What I said was that Boyes is NOT the best option but he is the ONLY option we have right now and should be resigned until a prospect is proven to be capable of replacing him on that line. I also said that if a better option comes along via trade, take it.

It's kind of funny how after the Jets game I came in here and said that the Isles will be going into the playoffs with a 3 game losing streak and I never once came in here and said anything about being right. Still, some of you say that I do that and I don't.

It's a lot of you who come at me every time Brad Boyes makes a bad pass. Not the other way around.

Jurcina and Eaton weren't on our top line. They didn't have 34 points in 48 games.

And if Eaton is good enough for the Pitt D, I wouldn't mind having him.

What I won't do though, and what I've never done, is base anything off of a game or a series. I don't come on here and talk about rights and wrongs after a game. That's some of you.

Nope not at all. The comment was made that if the Isles win I'll look like an idiot (not those words but something like that) and if they lose I'll come in here and talk about how I know everything.

I've never done that before. Yes, 4 years after a draft, I'll look back at the Hedman people and say "SEE". This time next year if Snow puts Strome on the first line and he doesn't produce, I'll say "SEE". But I won't do it after a game, a series, or a month.

You don't resign a player to a contract when you have several immediate opportunities to replace him.

He is our only option right now (like I've said probably 200 times now). If something comes up, and it's better, take it. But to throw an AHLer in the mix without a back up plan is not smart. And I believe that last line could be an exact quote of mine from late march/early april.
