Kencan could dampen a cure for cancer announcement
Suppose they beat Pitt, anything positive afterwards posted by kencan would seem awfully hollow - Slimtj100
I've said a few times now that beating the Pens, which is highly unlikely, would be a big boost for the team. I also said that getting blown out by the Pens (likely to happen) would be a huge let down for them after the run they've had. |

Yeah, I know. When you actually read what I write it's a little surprising. Instead of insulting people and talking about their families, you should actually read what I'm typing.
I never once said that Boyes was the best option for the team. What I said, and still say, is that he is the ONLY option we have.
I also said that we have 3 options.
1. Keep Boyes
2. Sign another "Boyes" (Let PAP go, Sign Boyes, Let Boyes go, Sign Another one like him)
3. Throw in a prospect and hope.
Option 2 is a roll of the dice.
Option 3 is a prayer.
Option 1 while trying option 3 is the only smart move. - kencan98
Option 4, trade for an established player who is a better fit for that line. Going by your logic, we should have resigned Jurcina and Eaton, instead of making a move for LV and picking Hickey off waivers, because the solid option is the one to keep what isn't working.

Find where I said that the rebuild was a failure and quote it here.
I never said that at all.
What I said (and continue to say) is that if they make the same mistakes they made in the past it will BECOME a failure. Yes, that's true. If they understand the mistakes and don't repeat them, it's likely that they'll succeed. - kencan98
I'll dig it up when I have time....everything is archived here. Dumb internet comments are like stains that won't wash off. You've left a lot of stains. That was one of them and I had held back from jumping on you until you made that comment so it was a while back. |

I'm wondering if perhaps I have another personality and log in as both myself and Keaner. Our posts end up looking so similar so often it's a bit creepy! - Isles_since_6

It's kind of funny how after the Jets game I came in here and said that the Isles will be going into the playoffs with a 3 game losing streak and I never once came in here and said anything about being right. Still, some of you say that I do that and I don't.
It's a lot of you who come at me every time Brad Boyes makes a bad pass. Not the other way around. |

This actually started about a month ago when I said it was a mistake to rush Strome into a first line position. My suggestion was to resign Boyes for another year and watch how Strome develops in the AHL. If he shines, you give him a shot with Boyes as plan B. If it works, Boyes is gone for a pick at the deadline. If Strome doesn't work, you have a fall back option in Boyes.
Once I said that, all hell broke loose.
And at the end of the day, my only point is and always has been that if the things in the past haven't worked and they shouldn't repeat the same mistakes again. No one wants to hear that. - kencan98
we all (frank)ing heard it!!!

Jurcina and Eaton weren't on our top line. They didn't have 34 points in 48 games.
And if Eaton is good enough for the Pitt D, I wouldn't mind having him. |

I can't think of a more obvious statement yet one that offers absolutely nothing of value.

It's kind of a dammed if you do dammed if you don't thing. Snow seems to have the "we'll make them love us" mentality which seems to be working? Honestly, if it was me instead of Snow Nabby and Lubo would'nt be here and we probably would'nt be in the playoffs - Cptmjl

Well some around here take that statement and turn it into "The rebuild is a failure" and "the team has no shot".
That's not what I said. |

You said earlier that you would come in here and tell all of your naysayers they were wrong next year and "I told you so" if they rushed strome, that was probably ten posts ago, remember? It's not farfetched for me to think that. |

Yeah, that would be crazy. Kind of like you posting on the Islanders thread and the Rangers thread at the same time like you just were. You'd have to be some kind of genius to do that? Maybe you have your "workers" from your "company" doing it for you? |
