He's a bust here. And it's not only because of his NHL play. It's because of his NHL play, not being invited to camp, trade request, not being asked to join the team during the post season. To me (or anyone with eyes) that doesn't look very good.
- kencan98

that is so far from the truth its ludicrous.

Just not true in either case. Not all top 5 pics are franchise players & not all first round picks are super stars.

You are right. And I never said that. But just based on the odds, wouldn't you think that out of all the picks we've had since then we'd have more than what we got now?

If you really look at the opportunity we had, if we just made a pick based on what was available instead of trying to outsmart everyone we'd have a much better team.

Not every pick would have worked out, but more of them would have. And I don't think anyone can really argue that. Again, a great example is the 2003 draft.

It's always like this when the playoffs start Mick. All the newbies or oldies that never post come out of the woodwork. Don't let them ruin it for you, I enjoy reading your facking posts too much.

Not really.

If I hire someone who didn't perform well at his job, then I told him he wasn't invited to a training session, then he told me he was looking for another job, then I told him not to come to the Christmas party, wouldn't everyone involved think his days are numbered?

Just because it's hockey doesn't make it any different. If anyone in the league runs their team like a business, it's Wang. And hate his hockey stuff all you want but the guy knows how to run a company.

With everything that went on with Nino, and his past performance, he's not going to be here much longer.

See, this post is an example.

I'm the Penguins team doctor now. A few days ago I was Brad Boyes, then Snow, then Wang. Today I was another member of management, a player on the Rangers, then a penguins fan, then a Penguins player.

I've had quite the career.

My determination is based on my love for the team and the skills of the people who work for me. I'll never lose my love for the team and I'll always call for them to go in a different direction when things aren't working. If the people at work need me, I'll have to leave though.

good lord man. That draft you're talking about was Milbury, who didn't know shat about drafting and didn't know the players. If we're going to talk about the draft and the current team it's only fair to focus on the current GM.

The other thing you're neglecting to notice is that Parise was drafted 17th overall FFS! So not only the Isles, but over half the league let him go past without selecting him!

It's so goddamn easy to second guess the draft 10 years later, every year there's more than half the first rounders alone who never make an impact.

- Isles_since_6

Didn't you get the memo? Snow is doing the EXACT SAME THING AS MILBURY! NO DIFFERENCE! Everyone other than JT is a FAILURE!

Not as of right now. The only one he made the mistake on was Nino. I'm hoping he doesn't do the same with Strome.

No I dont think we would have more then we have now.. we have QUITE a bit now & more in the pipeline.

You are pretending you knew what Snow was thinking & trying to out smart anyone, Fowler was passed over by ALOT of teams so was Couture... you can look back in the HB history I wanted both of those players.... but they dropped for a reason.. They weren't just passed over by Snow.

2003 wasnt Snow's draft & Yes again Mike Milbury set this team back a long long long time.

No, I'm not. Thinking you're just deflecting again Ken? You stated it in an earlier post that you were married 15 years? I was just looking for clarification? You posted it, volunteered it yourself.
