Possible, Colorado is moving out of our division next season so it wouldn't be as much of an issue. Unless they win the lottery of course, then there's no chance.

I like both players. I just don't think they are the best fit for CGY. I get BPA but without keeping an eye on actual need, we end up like the Oilers; too many similar players. Besides, let's load up on C, it's the best way to build a championship team these days.

I'm not interested in drafting a D man 1st overall so I would hope they trade down. At the very least they would get that teams 2nd rnd pick and likely a player/prospect as well. For instance, I could see CGY trading down with COL for, say, COL 1st & 2nd as well as Statsny with us maybe sending Stajan going back the other way (money dumo from COL).

I just don't see how you pass on a Martin St.Louis just to take a Jordan Staal. Both very valuable players, but if you have too many St.Louis's you can move one or two of them.

Yup! The only thing that sucks is I doubt Col would do business with Feaster. I do think TB would though.

I'm hoping we cover the C position earlier on. I would like a good right shooting puck-moving D man, like Madison Bowey or a RW like Valentin Zykov or Justin Bailey.

I think I would rather take a riskier pick with 1st line potential than a guy that is likely to be an NHL'r but with a ceiling of a 3rd liner. JMO.

Yep, I look at us at 7th. Odds are said player doesn't help us for 3-4 years. Who the hell knows what we'll need by then.
