IMO, if not for the wrist injury this season, Pulock would have been the consensus top D after Jones. Still had a good year on a bad team. Tied for team scoring lead despite missing 11 games. He's not bad defensively. Skates well. Not especially physical, but that's OK.

Bill, why not much chatter of domi sneaking into top 10?

Bigger? How are the flyers that small?

Holmers top reasons for the bad year

1. Injuries
2. We're small
3. Cooters lingering mono?

i really don't know in what context homer made that statement. i'm concerned he'll over-react and trade the farm for yandle, but we'll have to see.

How does Holmgren stating that they need to get bigger, mesh with over reacting and trading for Yandle? He's about as non-physical, if that's a word, as you can get for a defenseman.

I'd like to know what your basing that on. Because as I stated previously, regardless of where in the round, the Flyers history of first round picks with Holmgren involved is strong.

Would you rather have JvR/Pitkanen or Giroux/Gagne/Williams/Richards?

Keaton Thompson - D (USNDT, North Dakota commit) has been added to my 2nd round list to consider.

I live in buffalo. It's been all over tv and radio about millers condo on market right after season ended and both miller and vanek have stated many times to local reporters in interviews they aren't resigning here if buffalo is rebuilding which they obviously are. I'm not speculating just saying they are good as gone as much as fedotanko.

Pair him with Schenn in 2-3 years and he won't have to be overly physical.

Would love to get Yandle. Price will be high but he could be a very good defenseman playing with this club compared to Phoenix.

I've found " is a clever, mobile defenseman with good size" about him the rest I wasn't paying for to findout.

Under Homer as Director of Player Personnel/GM, the players taken by the Flyers in the 20-30 range have far exceeded their expectations whereas the players they've taken in lottery range (JvR and Pitkanen), outside of Jeff Carter, haven't come close to meeting expectations.

Their Am. Scouts have a stronger track-record with later picks... it's no secret. I was just trying to explain a possible reason.

That's what I was saying. I think he will remain on the board for us. I would hate to pass over him for a forward.

Any impression on Mirco Mueller? Seems like a good, useful all purpose defenseman with decent size.

Hah! Never mind, just saw your tweet

i'm sorry if this has been covered, but any thoughts about whether the flyers would consider hagg at 11? or is that definitely too early?
