Darcy is staying. Most likely RR is too. But would you trade both firsts and prospects or whatever to get a top 3 pick? I would say goodbye to miller in a heartbeat even for that. But would love to keep Vanek. He has amazing hands in front of the net - Beezer33
No way RR is going to be named head coach. I think he was brought on only to help evaluate the Rochester talent that was brought up. Sabres need to make a statement hire for their coach, who that could be I have no idea lol. We very well could see both Miller and Vanek gone. I think it's pretty clear that Vanek will want to test the UFA market when he becomes one, if that's the case trade him for full value now. |

I think they should reverse the trend. I think all non playoff teams should have equal shots at the #1 pick. The should do a straight up equal lottery like bingo. stop encouraging teams to suck. Stop punishing teams for trying. Stop burying world class talent in Florida and Edmonton. - Buffalo--Sabres
Are you serious??? Thats the worst idea ever.
Teams at the bottom need the top picks in order to compete again with the top teams a couple years down the road... Its a cycle... |

"Is Pegula claiming that because more of the fans’ money goes into his pocket under this agreement as opposed to the preceding one, they should pay more?
Is Buffalo ownership suggesting this CBA places the burden on Sabres’ season ticket-holders to keep the league stable?"

I'm really starting to dislike Pegula. When he bought the team he presented himself as if he was campaigning for president and we bought it hook, line, and sinker. |

From what I heard they had to raise the prices because in the new CBA you have to be making a revenue or else the NHL will come in and do things for you... We don't want that therefore we get the increase

Not sure I saw that anywhere but either way Pegula is now pocketing 50% of thte total revenue instead of 43% under the new CBA. Buffalo never struggles to sell tickets, raising the prices is BS. |

IMO they should try to do something to prevent teams from trying to build a team by being bad for several years, like if you get the 1st overall one year, you can't for three years following |

I have no problem with the ticket price increase...just listening to Sylvester and Peters talk right now makes me realize how close they are!!! Mike Weber came on "like gangbusters"....HALL OF FAMER!!!!! According to them...next year we will replicate the Canadiens change of fortune... |

You have to do what is required. He needs to meet league requirements. I don't think he would not do anything like that unless he had too.

I'm one of his biggest critics. I seldom talk about it here because people get personally offended by it. It gets ugly. Truth is, on one side he really wants to do unique things and he truly is committed, on the other hand he is totally niave, thinks were all stupid and is basically just another rich guy business man. |

I think they will be better, If they build around the younger guys are able to keep Vanek in Blue and Gold....... and keep Myers off the ice. |

Tampa won a cup with the world class talent and will be back in the top 8 once they address some key needs. Florida has been a bad team for a long time and only have one "soon to be" world class talent player.
I feel the draft is fine the way it is. Only thingI would change would be putting a limit on getting the #1 overall or being in the top 5 year after year after year. |

Myers....ugh. Its not the 7 Million(or whatever) that bothers me. The guy was such a detrement to the team on the ice. Pysyk was better defensivley without even trying. We have to hope that gets better. |

Thats fair
but remember Tampa's cup will be a decade ago by the time next years playoffs roll around. |

The only problem here was that his letter was poorly written. The season ticket prices need to increase in order for the Sabres to be eligible for revenue sharing. People need to look beyond the "blame the rich guy for all my problems" mentality and take a closer look at how the rules really work. If you don't like it, then you have every right not to renew your season tickets.

Tim Connoly and Mike Komisarek are great young prospects. Can't wait to see what they become. |

Whoa whoa whoa whoa. Dont label me the blame the rich guy for my problems. Dont get personal with me. I dont have money problems, I got my own. In fact, generally speaking I dont have many problems. I opt to cancel season tickets every year because I dont own them. Not becaus I cant afford them, because I think its a bad buy. And they Sabres justify my choice with picture perfect clarity each and every season. |
