Doesn't really matter much, since you'll get smoked in the playoffs.

The Kobasew goal was waived off because the ref farthest away from the net said it was no goal while the one closest said it was. The will of the no-goal ref was upheld and there wasn't enough evidence to overturn. It really should have counted though. The deflections off player's skates trying to stop in front of the net count most of the time.

He plays backup waterboy and boy, I gotta tell you, he's great. If the first stringer goes down, he'll be able to step in and perform like a pro.

You guys deserved it this year. This sucks. Even greater is the tragedy that you get stuck with a mediocre pick. Sorry guys. Hard to draw optimism from this because the biggest losers in the season are the ones who are closest but don't make it in.

I like CBJ way more than I do Detroit (hate them because they're good) and Minnesota (hate them cuz they threw money at their problems a-la Rangers).

Congrats on a good season Jacket fans. I lived in Columbus for three years from 02-05 and even worked for a couple games as a blue jocket beer here guy. great sports town and next coiuple of years will set you up to be a perenial playoff contenter, even in the new division. As a Pens fan I look forward to driving out to the jackets games and being the bad guy!

They have 3 picks in the top 30. They'll be fine.

good run, but as you say, the refs and the NHL wanted minnesota in after spending nearly 200$mill on 2 players the past off season.

This take is really really dumb. Really dumb.

Funny how quiet Detroit fans have been all season and now when they find out on the last two days of the regular season that they're finally in the playoffs, they seem to be coming out of the woodwork... Weird.

Columbus should look to deal if i were them i'd tried to package some picks and or players to get Milan Lucic who has fallen out of favor in boston.

I would make a move for Lucic if he was available but I doubt Boston would look to move him unless overwhelmed by an offer.

I think it's possible to get him, but would need to overpay and I think Chia would want a decent roster player in a deal as well. Wouldn't be an easy go at it IMO

I'm looking forward to having you guys in our division next season. That's about the only thing I do like about the re-alignment.
I'm thrilled Bob has done so well there and was heartbroken to see you not make it in as I needed a team to root for...
Another great write-up Glen. I'll be keeping an eye out for your opinions on draft picks for Columbus.

Right, sort of what you'll be doing while the Avs are playing golf. "Aaron, where's our cart?"

Ha, that's pretty good. Unfortunately, you're not as smart as you think you are.

I'll be driving Erik Johnson's cart, just to be safe.
